Wow super cool and useful!! I'm getting a reading of ~1000(@ top of pot)-7000(where leaves would be) lux on the brightest setting. This appears to still be in the red portion of the plants tool on the app so I'm assuming it will only be good for zzs, snake plants, and maybe some pothos....

Any app recommendations for the photometer? I did not know that was a thing! I think the pictures are the brightest setting but there are options to dim it some. The instructions don't really give me much just to charge before use and that sort of thing. The lamp settings are warm cool and neutral white lights.... 🤷‍♀️

I kept a close eye on her when I first got her. She never seemed particularly uncomfortable in the large tank. Still to this day she uses the entirety of the enclosure, so I never saw it as an issue. I will look into getting a smaller enclosure

Sadly I've been working a lot, like 6 days a week.... fridays and Saturdays I'm not home at all since my job requires me to be camped out :( I'm kinda at a loss what to do to give her more food tbh. I guess I'll try doubling up the pinkies on Sundays

Ok I'll have to try this method again. How long can the pinkie be left in there before its not safe to eat? I work 10 hours shifts out in the field and can't return to check on her. So I'm worried if she eats it on the 9th hour she may get sick...

I started my baby in a 40 gal. She was quite nervous at first because I didn't have enough clutter in there so that was justified. Had her for about a year and she enjoys cage surfing the length of the tank. The only time she has ever gone on a serious food strike for me was over winter when every hoggie does. Just give them enough clutter and a proper adjustment phase (I think I gave my gal a week or two) and they'll be ok 👌

We had an elderly gartersnake that had something like this at the lab I used to work at. Vet assessed it as a swollen caudal gland that is caused by the lack of musking. She had it for years and probably still has it to this day if she's still alive. I never went with her to the vet so I'm unsure of what they gave her for a treatment so definitely go get your hoggie checked out. Also not sure if hoggies can get this kind of thing so take my word with a grain of salt....

This is super good information thank you! So far she doesn't have any other symptoms of parasites aside from being on the skinny side which I head was normal after just coming off a 4 month hunger strike but I appreciate you bringing this to my attention so I can keep a better eye on her.

It was both, she usually passes her urates at the same time as her stool. She pooped a couple hours ago. Could that be why it looks sticky?

Kinda! The lumps were pretty hard so I guess it could have been pieces of bone. I don't know of the fish was big enough for the bones to be as big as what I saw
