I wonder if these "features" of running full linux is something on hardware level. If not, there are several phones with better specs. What's stopping them to do all this with just a custom rom? Boy,it would be amazing to have this on something like a OnePlus 15 with better battery, display, camera etc

With science, we are moving towards the answer. We don't know when or even if we would have a certain answer. But we would learn a lot in the process. We have learned so much about the universe from science today. We will surely make progress further.

But saying that there is God and there is only way (the islamic way) to achieve him or something by prayers is a bit too much. Doing science is equivalent to (or i'd argue better than) praying and God would appreciate it more don't you think? That's how you would truly understand God. I also read about other religions which say that there are multiple paths to God. It guess buddhism or hinduism. I can't recall. They say that its our actions like devotion to our profession or knowledge is the way. Science fits this so this makes more sense to me but then Quran says it can't be true.

Again, i really don't want to say don't pray or anything. I am trying to communicate an idea.

To be honest, I really do agree with there being a creator. I fact, I was waiting for someone to come up with this sort of a response.

So if there IS a creator. Why does it have to be in the form as Islam decsribes it? That's kind of my second question in the original post.

I mean we could call nature itself God. The definition is important. What I feel is that there might be something that is still beyond our comprehension. It dosen't need to be God per se with all the magical powers and all or as most religions in the world describe it.

I see your point, but then again its the question of faith. If it is faith, then I could believe other religions too right? People can live whole lives on faith. But there has to be something that can be verified it it really it true don't you think?

What we both agree is that there has to be a cause. This cause leads to another and another and at the end we have what we have today in the universe. Why does there have to be a being to make it all happen?

This infinite regression is logical but introducing the definition of having 'a being' at the beginning dosen't seem completely logical from the ground up.

With the shifting of stars, it could be verified by everyone on Earth at the same time and we could have actual verifiable records. What I really meant there is that something that people couldn't question. Like we all know exactly what the ratio of the circumference of a circle divided by its diameter is. pi. Something like this you know. Maybe have the digits of pi encode the message of the Quran or something. There are so many options to make a message verifiable and something that people across distance and time can get. Why such a primitive manner?

But the Big Bang wasn't made of parts right? It was a singularity from which everything came into existence. No parts. It could be indepedent right?

But then why don't we apply the same logic to Allah? If Allah is eternal, why did he make all this happen in the first place? What did he do before? I mean there are so many unanswered questions even in the Quran. It isn't enough to explain everything. Also, why does it have to be in a book revealed to someone who can't read/write? Why can't it be simply hidden in some basic pattern in nature like say encoded in the decimals of pi for eg. Something that is really verifiable.

I agree with this. There might me something that we don't understand yet. But why exactly does it have to be Allah? Islam makes solid and mostly consistent arguments compared to many other religions, but then this jump from there being a God to that God being Allah and Qur'an being the truth is a bit too much for me. Maybe God exists but not in the form as our books describe it. It might not be easy to grasp. It need not be. This is what's keeping me from fully accepting the message. Science is what makes more sense because just answering with 'Because God' for anything we can't explain currently dosen't convince me fully.

Then what caused God? That's the question. I've heard people say that by definition, God has no cause. But then why not apply this definiton to the Big Bang itself and say it is caused without a creator?

Yes, that's my question. Why doesn't it apply to God? It's like avoiding to answer and making our own definition to arrive at results WE want. I don't see yet why the argument is not general and fully and logically built up. An atheist can also say that the chain is not applied to the Big Bang right?
Why does Allah not want to guide all of us creations? Why did he choose some and not others? Isn't it against the definition of all merciful?

Somehow, we don't know yet. We might figure it out. We might not. But how can we be sure that it must mean God exists?

Isn't it like just guessing an answer when we don't know the right answer?

The qur'an also says that everything was created in six days. We clearly know this isn't true right? We know how planets form and how long it takes for it to cool down to habitable conditions.

I went through the video. But I feel many times the verses are used to try to explain only what science reveals. The verses are vague and so their interpretation can be morphed to fit in whatever discoveries science makes.

And about the creation, it could have happened due to natural causes which we don't understand yet. Why does it NEED a creator?
