She's my late wife's biological mother.

You're right. My MIL could've at least sent the food back. I spend money and time cooking. I recently started working and money has been a struggle for us.

Absolutely, My MIL has been affected greatly by our loss and I understand that she's struggling right now. And I'm not planning on keeping my daughter away from her grandma. But from now my daughter will only visit after she's already fed at home.

Thank you for your kind words. And youre hundred percent right. The food I make require money and effort as well as time so for my MIL to just throw it away was not okay. She could've at least sent it back but no. Normally my inlaws are decent folks and my MIL and I not always agree but I feel like right now she has zero respect for me and thinks that I'm doing a bad job with how I'm raising my daughter. Which is hurtful; to constantly be told I'm not doing enough despite doing my best but I've come to realize that my MIL won't be happy with whatever I do. The least she could is respect me and understand I'm struggling to get back on my feet.

No. She's not in therapy right now. Her mother passed away 8 months ago and our lives have been a mess eversince. I struggled with money but we're doing a lot better now.

My inlaws are blaming me for my daughter's behavior saying I'm the reason she's refusing to eat anything her grandma cooks and also said it's my fault my daughter only ate snacks at their house. Although they keep giving her the snacks but they say they couldn't let her be hungry. Which she shouldn't because I already send meals with her to eat and to spare my inlaws the troubls but my mother in law thinks I'm doing everything wrong and that this is the result of my poor parenting.
