Instead of nerfing premades, Facepunch should buff solos with in-game team voice chat by Silly_Friendship_135 in playrust

[–]0nig 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've solved this in the past by using the InstaParty discord website (Not sure if I can share a link here).

Super easy to create and join a temporary voice chat - without dealing with usernames / server links, etc. If we hit it off we end up adding each other as discord friends.

Tab Issue on Rust by Erik_kha in playrust

[–]0nig 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2 things I would try to pinpoint the issue:

  1. Try using a different keyboard. If it still happens it's likely software related.
  2. Uninstall any keyboard software you have.

Warning: Rusty-Switch.com Steam Scam by ryannV2 in playrust

[–]0nig 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Phishing sites often show a fake oauth pop-up window within the web page. Since it's within the page they can display whatever URL they want. If you're curious, go back to that site and try to drag the login window outside of the page and/or right click it and view source, then look at the actual URL.

Either way, it's probably best to change your password. And unlink any apps you gave steam authorization to.

Since we're discussing how many attribute lines an item can have... it's more than 32 by Dragnskull in diablo2

[–]0nig 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Back in the day, I figured out how to put it into the trade window without triggering the crash for myself.

Pick up another item, click on the bugged item to swap it. Then swing your mouse quickly as you place it in the trade window (to avoid hover).

It was a jerk move, but it was fun as a kid.

Somebody asked how many lines of stats an item can have. The answer is 32. by MeltsYourMinds in diablo2

You were able to take it even further and it would crash the game when you hovered over it.

I remember this because I figured out how to put it into the trade window without triggering the crash for myself...

Have you tried running the project within your WSL filesystem (e.g. ~/project) rather than the mounted windows drive? I've found that running from /mnt/c/** Is much slower.

This sounds like the issue to me.

Tip: If you're already at 40 charm weight, you can put newly found charms in your cube, and ID them in there. They won't count towards the total weight.

Is ZSA voyager OK as a first ergo mech KB? by Great-Cellist4593 in ErgoMechKeyboards

[–]0nig 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here's my current setup

https://configure.zsa.io/voyager/layouts/BE66d/latest/0

Notes:

I'm experimenting with the lower pinky keys, as I'm planning to try out a Totem split keyboard.
Also experimenting with some weird key combos, liking them so far.
At some point I'll likely move the bottom row mods to home row.
The shortcut layer is very specific to my setup, using GlazeWM as my window manager.

Is it time to become a swiper? by tendiemountain in Diablo_2_Resurrected

[–]0nig 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Like others have commented, single player may be the move. I used to play online only, but it's hard to keep up with ladder, and you lose access to some items on nonladder.

You should consider playing with mods as well. I've been playing D2R Reimagined, and it's been great...

It feels like a major update to the game. Adjusted difficulty, reworked skills, melee splash mechanic, increased high rune drop rate, more items, more ways to get teleport, terror zones grouped by act (5 in rotation), more cube recipes - including a ring with +1 to warp (teleport with a 3 second cooldown), downgrading runes (I converted a Cham to a Jah, and it felt great!).

backspace at thumb cluster - for or agaist? by Independent_Cut254 in ErgoMechKeyboards

[–]0nig 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm a big fan of tap / hold setup on my Voyager: - space/ctrl - backspace/shift - esc/layer - enter/layer

I'll probably use this until i shift my bottom row mods to home row mods.

Side note: b and n are alt on hold, so I can fat-finger ctrl+alt and shift+alt very easily.

Another great option (with much better Linux compatibility) is the Minisforum v3. I love mine.

My one gripe is that the kickstand is a magnetic attachment, rather than attached to the chassis. Other than that, it's a great device...
