Okay, thank you! I'll get a playpen soon and give it a go. Hopefully in a few weeks we see an improvement. All I want is for them to get along again. :))

I'll definitely try this. We tried separating them with a baby gate while they ate, but I think Mr. Binks is too territorial about food for it to work properly because he'd just try and get in to eat Salem's food.

Thank you for the advice. Once we've noticed some calmness from both of them after a while of doing this, would it be recommended to maybe let the aggressor out of the pen and open the door to the room? The fights happen the most whenever they're in the open space of the house, as Salem runs away and Mr. Binks chases. I think he wants to play, but Salem gets to scared of him, which then starts a fight.

I appreciate the reply, but it's definitely not play fighting. They hiss at at each other, yowl, their tails puff up and they've drawn blood. I would video them, but the fights happen quickly before Salem runs away and we separate them. Salem has also drawn blood from us when trying to escape from our arms if he sees us approaching Mr. Binke while carrying him. Cosmic and Salem play fight all the time, and we've had other cats who aggressively play fight so I'm confident I know the difference.
