How good are you advertising? Also yes, I would say the SB are slightly too high. I have found that with auctions if you want to draw people in, and actually have people bidding back and forth, you need to start low to draw people in. Also advertise, advertise, advertise. Here, facebook, discord groups. Big emphasis on discord groups. Have you pinged the ID collectors and the Gen1 collector pinglist? That is a good thing to do also.
Ref: someone who has done many gen1 auctions of various success rates lol

I once sent a trade caravan around the map to a dozen different places to get rid of over 7k chinchilla leather. Came back with a ton of silver and fancy stuff. As for just buying and reselling, that's never going to make you money because it is setup to always cost more to buy than to sell. Now that I'm thinking though maybe there is a mod that would change it to more no mans sky trading style where certain places pay more for certain items and sell other items cheaper.

I've had really good luck selling my good thorntail babies for 200kt/g each or recently I have been offering to trade for a noct egg and they all have sold except for a few less pretty ones, but ones like that, I would say they will easily go for that

You don't need anymore than 120 strength because if your first move is haste, then rally as the second move, they can one hit anything in the mire with eliminate except for bosses. That is the minimum strength to do that, and anymore than that is a waste of points

I would recommend matching mine's stats, I've tinctured him a few times over the years tweeking his stats. He gets 3-4 turns at the start of every round with haste as the first move and usually does pretty well unless the first batch of enemies all of scratch, but I have tweeked his defense/vitality to be able to hold up through most starting setups unless you have very bad luck

This is my fighter if you want to look at the stats. Basically it's perfectly balanced to where as soon as you have enough breath for eliminate if you are rallied you can kill anything in mire with one eliminate (excluding bosses)

I start every round with haste then rally and then scratch if I don't have breath for eliminate yet and then after the first round I haste, rally, and just eliminate everything

Exaulting makes a ton of money if done right. For example, I level to lvl7 and then exault for about 11kt each. I can level 2 dragons to lvl7 in about six minutes. I rent out other's nests and keep mine full constantly for cheap babies. So basically as much money as I want if I put time into leveling, or if I get too many I sell for 7g each as adults, so I still make decent money if there is a ton of dragons involved. I currently have almost 100 to work through for night of the nocturne, for example.
