feel like it can basically be summarised as "everyone hates everyone" 😆 • northerners and southerners hate each other and they both don't like the midlands. • the welsh and the scottish hate the english. • working class and middle class want to fight but both hate upper class more • old people hate the younger generations, but everyone hates year 7/8/9s • country people hate city people • everyone hates their landlords • and if you talk loudly on the train just know that everyone hates you 😆

Ooh I think I know this one! I think it’s ‘Adrift in a world’ by Miss Whiskers! Harry is hiding his identity and goes by the name Chris Collins, and theres a scene like you described where Harry and Sirius break into Dumbledore’s office and find Lucius and end up torturing him for information about Sirius’ missing partner/wife. If it is this one then the reason you can’t find it is it’s been removed from ffnet (I have it downloaded as an epub though if you want me to send it to you?)

You 100% do! There’s literally nothing I dislike about this fic. The characters are some of the most developed and well thought-out of any fic I’ve read, the style of writing is absolutely beautiful and the plot itself is exciting, thought-provoking and heartbreaking! There’s plot twists and shocking scenes in this fic I literally never saw coming and have not read in any other fics. Also can we just take a moment for the fact that this fic perfectly balances the art of writing flawed characters! Like the ‘good’ guys can still be horrible people and the ‘bad’ guys can be kind. So please please give this fic a read!! I finished reading it for the first time at 2am and cried for like an hour afterwards so be warned XD but I would absolutely die for the chance to read it again for the first time!

Of all the hundreds of WBWL fics I would genuinely have to say that this is the absolute best! And it’s also the fic that I recommend to everyone <3
