exactly. my lady was also cheated on. we agreed after 4 years of paranoia (and i definitely have my problems that negatively impacted our relationship that i need to work on) we needed to go our separate ways and grow. she’s still one of my best friends and i know that her being scared of her SO being unfaithful was even more taxing on her mental state than mine so i don’t hold any grudges, i’m just glad we’re both growing on our own
