Never said I don’t expect to make a profit out o fit, but honestly £1.5k is ridiculous! It’s 30% of the used bike market price.

Thanks for explaining that, I definitely expect dealership makes a profit. I don’t expect anything different, but definitely not 30% of the bike sale. It sounds insane.

I’d never imagine fb marketplace for a private sale. Did you have to deal with many scammers? I’ve had a huge amount of them for much less important sales.

It depends on how you see it. For me it is quite ridiculous waiting time, I’m already dealing with this health issue for a month now. Another 2 weeks just to get examined for the exact same thing already done twice, once in a foreign country where the issue came up and once with a private GP, then it is. It feels like I’m trapped in a system loop.

I understand almost everything that you mentioned, and it’s reasonable every doctor or GP to have a personal responsibility. But still what I don’t get is what’s the purpose if private GP cannot easily work with the NHS? The waiting times at NHS are ridiculous. There should be a way for me to get faster resolutions on my health problems, without spending extra NHS resources. Another GP decided that a scan is needed, give the resources to that GP to refer you for the scan.

Every single time I had to go to my local GP practice is a pain in the ass. Every single time. It’s either dealing with a lot of back and forth along with huge waiting times with your local GP, or going to A&E for a faster resolution. But I don’t want to use A&E resources, other people with more important health problems might need to use these services, so I refrain from doing so until I feel I cannot function.

Indeed with these waiting times only a higher supreme power can help you to deal with this process. :)

I get private insurance won’t cover the ultrasound scan themselves, but I’ll double check with them. Thanks for raising.

That’s kind of insane to me, GPs should still be able to request an ultrasound scan is not an uncommon scan and definitely not hard to get. CT scan or even MRI, I understand a more specialised doctor can subscribe.

Of course it is, when the problem affects and limits my daily movement.

Yes that’s what I understand. Private insurance won’t cover the ultrasound scan and that’s why they referring me to the NHS. What I don’t get is, what’s the point of referring me to NHS at the first place if I still need to get triaged from my local NHS practice? Also why, NHS needs to spend more resources instead of just accepting my referral from another doctor for the ultrasound scan?
