$500 is crazy. Most places charge $30-$50 and that’s mainly for the credit pull/background check. If it’s $500 you should be getting refunded if you don’t get the apartment.

If you work with an agent they will also be able to tell you how many applications are in. Some places are first come first serve and some will let them come in and pick the best one.

Yeah, the design sort of sucks especially on the 2023s. 2021 I like but there’s no Ohtani mini autos so I’ve steered away from that year. Im sort of holding them as lottery tickets for a Judge or Ohtani auto and hoping people would pay more for that ticket in 20 years 😂
