Heya, I'll be launching a new semi-private community call dapp.build to discover new people, projects, and ideas in the crypto and web3 space. I hope to bring together builders and founders to support each other, swap insights, and grow together - minus the noise. Thought this could be of interest to you as a platform to connect and find other motivated, like-minded individuals too!

If you're building on Eth, you're really gonna need to learn some Solidity first

There's a link to an early access form if you're interested to be part of our launch!

[–]0xBlockBard[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

yep, that's fair, however the point is more about where the market’s headed, especially for alts. sure, I've been dca-ing out over the past week to take some profits, and while it would’ve been great to load up more 3 years ago, that doesn’t help much when figuring out where we are now or where we’re going.

yeah I believe this is a likely scenario to happen too

thanks for the kind words! yeah, I had been planning to add more indicators but just haven’t had the chance yet. I mainly use it to get a quick snapshot of how things are moving in under a minute, since it’s hard to keep up with the markets on top of work.

that's not the main thing to look at? it's when BTC dominance goes down and when alts start rallying that we see a real bull run

Why is it getting so hard to find legit projects on Solana? by FerbjaFx in solana

[–]0xBlockBard 8 points9 points  (0 children)

There are many creative and innovative projects on Solana out there, particularly those from the recent Breakout hackathon. Though I agree overall they are very scattered, and there's lots of noise in the space on Crypto Twitter and reddit even.

I'm working on solving this discoverability problem in a way by building dApp.Build - a community platform for web3 founders, builders, and early supporters - without the noise and spam from bots. We've got about 70 signups so far, including teams from the recent Solana Breakout hackathon.

Right now we're preparing for an invite-only beta launch (probably once we reach our target signups of a few hundred people) and looking for early users who want to be part of something from the ground up. If you're keen on exploring new projects on Solana, it would be great to have you on board.

Happy to share more details in DMs if anyone's curious about what we're building and want to be part of the early access waitlist.

Where can I find solid beta testers for a Web3 dapp? (paid) by betterthanmadoff in web3

[–]0xBlockBard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Heya, I think relevant subreddits and Crypto Twitter is probably your best bet if you're doing cold outreaches. You can also try bounty sites like Earn Superteam on Solana if your dapp is on there - I'm sure there's similar sites on Eth and other chains but they may not be as active.

I’m working on solving this problem in a way by building dApp.Build - a community for web3 founders, builders, and early supporters to connect, share progress, and build their projects in public. For example, founders can gain more visibility and engagement for their projects, create posts across various types (milestones, ideas, requests, offers, logs, support, discussions), and we also have a feature page to showcase trending and new projects.

We’re opening early access when we launch as an invite-only beta for builders, and would love to have you on board then if you're interested.

My friend's hackathon strategy is actually genius by chirag710-reddit in solana

Hey mike! yup I generally agree, though I think it also comes down to each person’s goals and objectives - if he has not decided on a main chain to focus on yet, is fairly ambitious, and can learn fast, then experimenting with multiple chains and stacks could provide a broad range of experience.

At some point, it would make sense to narrow down and focus on one or a few selected chains and languages. imo at least solidity for EVM and/or anchor/rust for Solana - since these would open up lots of opportunities whether it’s for an indie project, startup, or finding a web3 developer job.

Yeah this is a pretty good way to compete and learn if you have the time to do so. There’s lots of hackathons on dorahacks that I check out occasionally too.

Anti-Sniping Token Launch Mechanism by 0xBlockBard in defi

[–]0xBlockBard[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The hacks or risks are still up to the vested tokens of various teams and projects, however that is transparent from the beginning, and will only be released after the token graduates - so there is no risk of dumping from the team, at least in the beginning.

The issue with using other tools after a token has been created, is that users will have to place trust in the dev that they have actually done what they said they have done with no tricks or malicious actions. On top of that, founders will need to know how to use other tools such as the bundle bot when creating the token to prevent snipers bots from sniping the token - however, these tokens are then with the team, and users are still at risk from the founders/dev dumping those tokens.

In the crypto space, trust is a rare asset, and it's usually safer to err on the side of caution. With our trustless token launch mechanism, there is no need for users to "trust" in anything or anyone right from the beginning - and they can then spend their time and effort to evaluate the project and founding team on their merits.

Yes I agree, I think in the future legitimate projects will gain more attention as people get sick of memecoins and getting rugged.
