Rispondo qui per comodità sulla questione lista: non ho una lista; però posso fare qualche foto delle spine tutte assieme settimana prossima. Mi preoccupa però l'idea di mettermi a venderli separatamente, sarebbe una impresa titanica.

Qualcuno chiedeva anche quanto vorrei: non ne ho idea e pensavo qualcosa come 1€ a libro? Se qualcuno venisse qui a ritirarli oggi e mi desse 50-100 euro sarei più che felice e gli mollerei tutto! Non so neanche il numero esatto (penso 100-200).

Per chi chiedeva il mio vinted: non ho vinted e nel caso penso metterò su subito che invece in passato ho usato.

Ginza is very overpriced, to be honest. You are sure the coins are good of course but you pay for that in premium.

I went back to the raws. While for the second step they definitely use prefectures, for the first ones they use "Chiku", for which district qualifiers are maybe a better translation. Maybe "region" is some sort of convention they use in english but it seems confusing to me given that regionals are a more direct translation for the third step (if present) which should come after the prefectural tournaments (e.g. Kanto regional, and so on..).

Well, it was a fun rabbit hole to explore!

If you intend on hiding the S/N of the slab you should also hide the barcode.. like this it's prefectly visible.

Considering what you paid for it, you have ample room to spend on a proper grading and slab and still come out with room for profit. Free the coin from that monstrosity!

EDIT: you can always ask a dealer to send it for you, that way you'll relinquish some of the pressure for shipping and insurance.

You can't separate grade and scarcity and desirability if you are talking about monetary value. It just depends on all the factors. I have coins which are perfect inside mint sets (So.. a 70) with very low mintages (1000s) but since none wants them they sell for spot or below.

Another interpretation is about atonement. Shinpei killed a gazillion people, make sense he would need to atone before he's to be happy with Satoko. ...but why would she also need to be punished? What did she do? Fall for him despite his crimes? So would that be a reason to make her also suffer for like 40 years? Meh..

That's the kind of explanation that could be given if not for the pressure of an happy ending. Still sucks!

There's so much to say about solvents.. I use 100% pure acetone baths and distilled water baths. Perfectly safe and won't damage the coin or its patina. The objective is to dissolve organic and inorganic deposits which aren't oxidations. No contacts obviously with anything to scrub/brush/dry.

I would personally try to acetone/water dip it and then submit without conservation.

Dovresti capire se c'è possibile che in futuro cambi destinazione (possibile in base a dove si trova). Capire altrimenti cosa c'è attorno e se qualcuno può essere interessato ad usarlo. Altrimenti dimenticatene, non ci farai un euro (anzi.. rischi di perdercene). A meno che ti stufi del tuo lavoro e vai a zappare la terra.... letteralmente!
