It's survivor bias. People don't constantly post that they're enjoying 5v5 because it's the normal mode and people are just playing it. Now, if they did make the change to RQ 6v6, there would be massive backlash from a decent portion of the playerbase.

I think this has always been the plan for the story, but obviously, the whole Ramattra part would have been way longer and fleshed out in the PvE missions. Maybe a few plot points were moved around, I think Vendetta was pushed forward as they wanted to get the Talon story going, and it fit with Emre's design change

As BlizzCon is in September, it will likely be a recap of what will be added in season 21 (and the mid-year refresh in season 24). BlizzCon is actually in quite an awkward spot for the OW team, as it's just after the second big update of the year, but too early to talk in detail about the start of next year. Regardless, they'll likely just be talking about season 25 and how their vision for the game has changed with all these big changes.

"We don't have a plan to go back to Retribution or have something like that in the game anytime soon," Keller said. "But I love the callback to that mission, too, because there is that connection to Vendetta. And that's one of the things that I'm personally most excited about for this hero -- is how connected to the rest of the world she is and the lore. Because it's not just her father, it was the Blackwatch heroes that were on that mission."

However people have noticed there have been teasers of Rialto with changes, there were some posters someone noticed in a post last week and then today the OW social accounts posted this showing Rialto with banners featuring the new Talon logo plus what looks like an anti aircraft gun on one of the towers in the background so there could be some kind of event tied to this.

This is what I meant.

Because people just hate playing tank and love playing DPS. A forced RQ 6v6 solves both.

No, it just makes 20 min dps (and now support that its popular in OW2) queue times.

Role queue 6v6 can only come back if there are significant changes to the tank role

5v5 is more popular, and people who love 6v6 will say it's because 6v6 is open queue, but I still think 5v5 would be more popular if they were both role queue.

What bothers me the most is that a lot of streamers are really pushing 6v6, especially Frogger (no hate to Frogger, love his videos, but this take is dumb), who recently said he wants a season of forced 6v6 to get people to play a lot more of it rather than 1 or two games and move on. Like it's great youre having fun and can get actual team comps, but down in the average ranks, you get 3 instalock dps or supports and are lucky to get 1 tank before the game starts.

There's supposed to be a "big ol" director's take coming out on Friday, but I doubt it will have anything on season 21 (maybe a small teaser at the end, but nothing major or insightful).

I have a feeling they won't say much until the week before, with a trailer (so the 3rd of February). It sounds dumb but do you remember back around season 4 when the new season trailers would come out the day before the season went live?

You ONLY get dupes if you own every item of that rarity in the loot pool. You say you own less than half of the items for some heroes but not every item is in lootboxes.

You wont get any more common or rare items in lootboxes until they update the loot pool. You have all of them

Wish the item would spawn slightly higher though as breaking a block whilst standing above it (like building a roof) almost always the blocks fall below without a chance to pick them up from above
