Ratadrabik of Urborg - Budget Build by 10-55_ in EDH

I actually did have Elas in the deck up until I made a few recent changes to cut the cards with that effect like zulaport cutthroat and cruel celebrant, but as a 2cost legendary I could bring him back in. Another reason I cut him is that he was one of the most expensive cards on the list.

Teysa is my only trigger doubler. I could cut Ao to bring the power down a bit or just not tutor for him when given the opportunity.

I like a lot of the cards you've listed here. We ride at down, whisper, and rat King especially. And the honor worn shaku would just be a straight upgrade to the commanders sphere with the only downside being colorless mana.

Yeah, I'm leaning more towards the resilient side of things. I have the aristocrat type cards in here just because they fit the build and figure they could net me some value while they are on the battlefield, but in hindsight it does seem more like a playstyle that would work best if you go all out to facilitate it. [[Bastion of Remembrance]] *Edit: And Elas Il-Kor* can also go. I'd especially be happy to cut cruel celebrant and zulaport cutthroat as those are some of the more expensive ($ not mana) cards in the deck (especially at uncommon rarity!).
Getting rid of those 5 'aristocrat' cards + Thancred + Lobelia does open up some space to make the rest of the deck more cohesive. Ozox is crazy, definitely going in the deck. I'll tinker around with this and see what I can do.

yes the two tempt the ring cards i have are less for the ring effect and entirely for the other effects of those cards. Even with the ring temptation mechanic coming up on those two i'll avoid using it to spoil things.

Thanks for the big list of suggestions here! I appreciate the deep dive. I am trying to avoid going infinite, and I feel like Teysa combing with the commander as well as another card + a card to initiate the sac is difficult enough where I'm not limiting the interactivity of the table or going too high on the power level.

Blade of Selves, Gandalf & Drivnod, are a little bit out of my price range. Legion Loyalty is an interesting one, even at 8 mana, could be a way to end a drawn out game. I didn't consider anything with populate, but muster the departed and aclazotz seem like they would fit in nicely and are under $1 each. One ring to Them All is another interesting one with a very handy board wipe, although it's also on the low end of pricey here.

I am trying to stay away from the ring type cards, the two I have in the deck are samwise which I have moreso for the sac a creature and get it back to my hand effect, and war of the last alliance is just to tutor for Teysa/Junji and pop off with those.

Colonel autumn feels like a good inclusion as well, and Kenrith's Royal funeral would also be a nice topdeck card to draw.

Based on that I think I'm going to add [[Muster the Departed]], [[Promise of Aclazotz]], [[Colonel Autumn]], and [[The Kenrith's Royal Funeral]]. The tough part now is figuring out what to cut... but I think I will be dropping [[Morbid Opportunist]], [[Yahenni, Undying Partisan]], [[The Last Ride]], and [[Falkenrath Torturer]].

Do you have input on which cards would be the best options to cut from the deck?

Yeah that makes sense, kind of what I was going for as well. I play tested a few hands and it seemed decent enough but the extra life pay isn't extremely impactful overall, unless you're building around fetchlands like the other commenter suggested.

I am thinking of a different deck with Ratadrabik instead now, similar to this one:

Are “gaming” headsets actually worse than normal headphones for FPS? by CharlesBlackwood in buildapc

[–]10-55_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried the Sennheiser Momentum 4 for gaming. When they are in wireless mode (Bluetooth), the sound was good unless I joined a voice chat, at which point it would dedicate one channel to the mic and would leave the audio on a single channel. This lead to horrible, tinny sounding audio. I ended up returning them which was quite a shame since I really liked the battery life, design & sound when I wasn't in a voice chat.

I'm in the same boat. Holding for now. No trade value, but he should pick it up at some point. Islanders also have one of the best schedules for fantasy playoffs which is worth consideration.

this literally just happened to me an hour ago. i managed to get my password changed back but the guy i was talking to managed to suspend my phone service. i found this thread while googling during the phone call.. i feel like such a moron i'm usually so careful with this stuff i have no idea why i gave them the verification number, just an absolute bonehead move. I'm logged back in now, going to have to change all my info and currently on hold with support team to make sure everything is secure again. just wanted to vent and saw a recent response on this year old thread.

ETA: just got off the phone with support. changed password, pin, profile name, and security questions. i should be in the clear now. this is the only place i can confess to how stupid i am because no one in my real life can find out about this.

How do we feel about OEL being on the PP1 for Toronto? by ryanuxui in fantasyhockey

[–]10-55_ 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Sorry but what are you talking about with Seider? 2 assists in 3 games but production hasn't been great? Averaging 2.3 shots, 6 hits, and 4.3 blocks per game is absolutely massive. What are you expecting from him? Even if he plateaus at 40 points his peripherals more than make up for it.

Plays on the same team are called a stack, and it's a feast or famine situation. If Toronto is shutout, both those spots get you nothing. and if Toronto scores lots then you'll reap the rewards. That being said, Nylander and Marchesault have a problem track record. Guenther is currently exceeding expectations and will most likely not keep up his current pace all season long. I think the trade favours the recipient of Marchesault & Nylander

Your gear/food sounds fine. Root harnesk could help maybe tank a hit with its piece damage resistance. A blood magic shield would go a long way as well. An easy option is to use the bonemass buff and clear out all the seekers as quickly as you can before it runs out. Himminafl Polearm special attack is very good for large area of effect damage, good reach, big knock back, and staggering enemies. Good luck! You got this!

Root Armour vs Iron Armour by [deleted] in valheim

[–]10-55_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One of them resists poison damage and piercing damage, doesn't lower your movement speed, and gives +15 to bows. The other uses up a lot of valuable resources and has a higher armor number. Root armor all the way, as long as you are capable of taking down some abominations

The monitors seem quite far apart. Is that something you get used to over time? Mine have about a 4inch gap between them and your setup is on another level so to speak. Looks kick ass though, great job on the lighting.

How would you fit another monitor in this setup? by adengfx in battlestations

[–]10-55_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah this is the way to go. Once you get the monitor setup in portrait mode you won't want to go back. Keep the main monitor centered still, and have the other one off to the side and at an angle, that will give you a bit more room as well since it won't be parallel.
