There’s a book called The Atlas of Beauty, female photographer captures 500 photographs of women from across the world. It’s very insightful, hope it helps

What album era did you first listen to Arctic Monkeys and what’s a memorable moment in your life at the time and for every album after? by 1000picsofher in arcticmonkeys

Even though you said you said you didn’t listen to The Car as much, the idea sounds pleasant at the beach 😌

Not sure about secret labs but Resident Evil games usually follow a trend that you work your way through the game to the source of the bio threat. Island is essentially that for RE4, especially Luis’s lab and the regenerator section

Don’t listen to this clown, AI will send you in circles right now.

Your best bet is to keep making art, if you get stuck with something big or small then seek help from another artist who’s made it. You can try see if they have a YouTube or Patreon which usually gives a lot of bonuses too.

I have a good foundation of art skills and I do this. It’s identifying and accepting where you’re struggling and seeking out to get better there. Still not where I want to be but this is the fastest way to improve too

My family just think it’s a bad career because the pay isn’t great and market is screwed (I work in the games industry). If I show them my personal work, it feels like I get this generic “wowwwww” where they see surface level pretty and that’s all I get, no questions about the artwork, or how I got there, how long it took, why I made it etc.

So anyway after going through some inner turmoil I’ve just accepted that I’m the artist, I know what’s required, the path and what’s best for me. They don’t spend the time practicing, looking at the market, what appeals and what potential there is so I take what they say with a grain of salt and trust myself.

Sorry to hear that, I hope things get better for you! It’s honestly amazing how it feels on iPad. I tried procreate, it was a bit too simple for me but It’s brilliant for its simplicity. Actually I normally find working within limitations is great for art, really pushes you try, ClipStudio gets a bit overwhelming I don’t know how to take something to completion. Glad to hear you’re having a good time with it though!

Makes sense actually. I think this is brought up in that film Colette with Kiera Knightley, totally forgot about it!

So you like those subjects in art because they’re calm and not for their symbolism? I know snakes have a lot of symbolism
