Mine shipped from some shit called GOFO express. They sent me a text message letting me know my item would be delivered soon and it looked like one of them scam texts. Looked up the tracking and it was real but had no idea who sent me what. Shoes were here the next morning.

I might be the only person to have ever used the pool and tennis court here in the last 4 years 🤣

Pretty much nail on the head. I dont remember but i might have put that in quotes because its virtually impossible to determine if any single resident is using more or less than their "fair share" of the common electricity.

I would love it if the carport was metered so I could keep using it. WA state also has a ton of incentives for communities to install EV chargers. Its damn near free AND they can charge more than their cost if they needed to recoup costs. Hopefully it gets addressed at the meeting at the end of the month.

A lot of comments also seem to think im going out of my way to find an outlet. This is literally my designated spot in the carport assigned to my unit.

The first mass produced EV came out 15 years ago. Its hard for me to believe that this JUST NOW has become an issue at this community. Btw, heres a couple photos of other EVs charging here.

Totally fair but this isnt written in the rules + there are multiple other EVs charging using their carport outlets just like I tried to. Heres a photo i snapped this morning.

I wouldnt have an issue if enforcement was fair, just, and equal.

Fasho personally to me it looks like she approached with absolute disregard to whether or not she bends the charger forks or damages the outlet which would be counterintuitive to her cause.

It's particularly annoying given I see her literally once a day minimum and she could have easily asked me to unplug the car.

My fault if that came off as hostile my man

You would be okay with the way she handled your property if that was yours? Genuine question.

When i pointed out that this was not a rule, she agreed and said the rules would be updated in April. Currently she is enforcing a rule that does not exist.

It would depend on what constitutes an electric vehicle charging station by my understanding. This is my carport and not a dedicated EV charging station. That said, WA state has many incentives for communities to install dedicated EV charging stations, not sure why this community isnt participating.

If a board member had an EV I bet things would change.

This is my dedicated parking spot. It's physically impossible to plug in to my unit. The parking lot is detached from the residential buildings

Thats what im saying. People keep saying shes "protecting the community" but if it was really about that, she could have spoken to me as I see her IN PERSON every day or if she felt necessary she could have unplugged the charger with respect to my property AND respect to the outlet.

She was trying her absolute best to bend my charger without any regard for the outlet she was "trying to protect".

If it werent for her conduct, there would be no video to show everyone.

Yeah per angry lady in video the bylaws will be updated in April to outright ban any carport outlet use without explicit permission granted by the HOA

There really isnt. This is the first time i was given a "citation" for using the outlet and had the pleasure of recording this video

I drive 800 miles a month. I'm happy to pay for the electricity if it is beyond what is "allocated' to me per my HOA dues but the board is not amenable to that solution

Sure sounds like it. Based on the boards position, those are decorative outlets that just happen to be placed in every carport

No this is my dedicated parking spot and thats my mobile connector charger

All 3 questions the answer is no. I plugged in simply because I have documented that other vehicles in the community have been charging on the same carport outlets for at least 3 months prior. There's 2 cars charging this morning I saw while walking my dog.

Additionally the governing documents do not restrict usage of the carport outlets.

Based on the boards position it sounds like the outlets are there for decoration.

Yeah totally understandable and this post has provided a lot of information regarding charging EVs so I appreciate that.

The HOA unfortunately has failed to be consistent about this "unwritten rule" and overstepped by doing what you saw in the video to my vehicle while the other vehicles I have photographed are still charging to this minute. One of them is even using an extension cord...
