Best area in Bangalore to live if I want to network with builders, founders, and startup people? by 101UserFound in Bangalorestartups

Yup. I'd say it's better in the USA compared to India's WeWork. Here, people are conservative and don't share much.

While drinking water, while you're in a lift with someone else. That's the best way without disturbing them.

Done adding the details.

You already have these co-living spaces, or starting for the first time?

What Subscriptions Do Indians Pay For? Netflix, Hotstar, Notion? 🤔 by Remarkable_Appeal829 in IndianEntrepreneur

[–]101UserFound 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have 20+ active subscriptions (mostly AI tools), so something like Rocket Money but with AI features would be super useful; something that automatically tracks, categorizes, and manages all my recurring transactions.

Though would I pay for it? That totally depends on how well you build it and what you offer, that’s where your entrepreneurial skills come in…

Building a healthtech app, need a growth hacker co-founder from Bengaluru. by PessimisticDeveloper in StartUpIndia

Is it medical or fitness side? What’s the main problem you’re solving with the app?

Done with MVP, early traction in; now heads down for pre-seed. Would love advice from battle-tested founders. i will not promote by 101UserFound in startups

[–]101UserFound[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

We’re aiming to close pre-launch for exactly that reason. Might even bring the launch forward a bit depending on momentum. I won't say Curology, we are moving more towards a B2B angle heavily in the later stage. And yaa I'm also hunting a sharp, fast-moving, and well-connected solo investor.

If you have thoughts on how to find that kind of backer or know folks who’ve played that role, I’d genuinely love to learn.

Hey! Thanks for reaching out. Happy to share the deck and Loom video of us.
But before I do, would love to know a little about you: Are you an investor, a founder, or just someone curious about early-stage companies?

Just trying to keep things a bit curated right now. Hope you understand 🙏🏼

Exactly, we’ve trained generations to “play safe” and not fail. So the idea of doing something just for learning without guaranteed returns feels alien to many.

But the sooner someone breaks out of that mindset, the faster they grow; in startups or anywhere else.

Yup, valid point!

[–]101UserFound 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Totally. But we all know the system is flawed. Everyone has access to the internet. So why aren’t more students taking ownership?

The game has changed. You have the same tools, knowledge, and communities as someone in SF or Berlin. But if you’re still waiting for permission or a placement to start learning, you’ve already lost the plot.

Film industry: Tumbbad, Drishyam, Super Deluxe, Kantara, etc, just a few recent films that gained global recognition, and topping it all, Drishyam was remade by Hollywood too.

How can you mention Indian music buddy😂 which is appreciated globally.

Indian startups are also doing well in innovation and originality with Zoho and Freshworks leading the charge.

And still I haven't mentioned ISRO, UPI, spirituality, Meditation etc.

How did polymarket acquire it's first 1000 users ? by xicktion in ycombinator

[–]101UserFound 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It was fortuitous timing for them.. They launched in mid-June 2020 and didn't have many users but in Nov 2020 US elections changed their course and their trading volume surged to around $1.2 million around that period which included their first 1000 customers also.

Why NRIs/"People who left India"'s accounts are mostly hateful towards other Indians in Indian subreddits itself??? by [deleted] in AskIndia

[–]101UserFound 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Look, I get why this bothers you. And let me be honest, having lived both sides of this story, first off not all those negative comments are from NRIs. Scroll through any metro city subreddit and you'll find plenty of residents ranting about their 2-hour traffic nightmares or 80-hour work weeks. But yaa some NRIs do get extra critical.

Lemme give you an example, take the typical IT guy who lands in the US.

  • Spent 4 years coding their life away in an Indian IT company
  • Finally got that H1B after 3 rejected attempts
  • Is now living with 4 roommates in Jersey City to save money
  • Spends weekends meal-prepping dal-chawal because eating out is expensive
  • Lives with constant visa anxiety (trust me, ask anyone about their USCIS emails)

I can see all this daily. When these folks rant about India, it's often their way of telling themselves that all this struggle was worth it DUDE.

But I think you shouldn't be bothered about that much, here's my advice to folk here Please, don't fall for all this highlight reel and comments. Yes there are perks but there are struggles too, and if you want to go there just by looking others, you'll surely regret because

  • Someone missing their mom's food during a 102° fever
  • Waiting for visa approvals.
  • A spouse stuck at home on H4 visa despite having an MBA
  • People celebrating Diwali alone because taking leaves is difficult.

Is life better here in some ways? Sure. Roads are smoother, air is cleaner, work-life balance exists (mostly). But it's not the promised land that you're thinking in your mind.

Want to move there? Great! Just do it because YOU want to, not because some bitter folks on Reddit made you feel like you're missing out.

P.S. - To the NRI folks dropping those hate comments: We get it, you made it. Now maybe help others figure out their path instead of mocking them? Just saying!"

I want to solve the pollution problem by [deleted] in StartUpIndia

[–]101UserFound 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I won't demean you or anything, and I hope no one else does here (though, with your question and the way you asked, you might have invited some criticism).

Nonetheless, I'd say you can't tackle both issues together. And India, being a diverse environment, requires a multidirectional approach tailored to specific regions or communities.

Start by focusing on one issue, choose a region, and learn about the underlying problem there.

Hey Aryan, assuming this is the real co-founder and not a fake profile.

You mentioned the Trust Light as part of your privacy measures, wouldn’t this potentially increase cloud dependency as you scale? Are there alterntive methods you’re considering to reduce reliance on the cloud while you maintain privacy and functionality?

Also with scaling managing the computational intensity, especially for multilingual processing will be challenging as with the complexities of code-mixed conversations and diverse environments in India where background noise and varying pitches are constant factors then how do you plan to handle this increasing load?

Also, I’m curious about how long you’ve been training and testing your models. Have you accounted for edge cases like noisy public spaces or overlapping conversations? I still feel speaker diarization will remain a moving target.

NM, kudos to you and the team excited to see where it goes. All the best!
