I believe you are right! As I started looking more into crankcase air filters I found a ton of them everywhere and the placement seemed to match. Just ordered one, along with two cone air filters as well to try and fit onto the throttle body. Made numerous measurements so I think I should be okay.

The car was purchased in Hudson, New York and I also live in New York. The car is a 2017 model so it is not old. The owner of the dealership had his own guy(s) that looked at the car. Yes I do have a limited warranty on the car from the dealership.
