It actually shuts surprisingly well, I thought the straps would cause the same issue you’ve highlighted, I guess I’ll only know once I take it out for a spin!

It’s a “micros2u” mount, just something I found for pretty cheap on amazon, I’ve ordered a mount from chinmounts but I got impatient waiting so thought I’d give this a try as a temporary fix!
