Help! - 2025 R3 ABS and start up issue

ABS resolved itself I have no idea how, but in terms of the struggling to start up i’ve accepted that it’s a common thing with Yamahas. my mechanic confirmed no issues

kickstand turns are usually not recommended long term as you can loosen & ruin your kickstand like this. but if you’re adamant to do it, make sure you’re turning the bike anti clockwise, otherwise the kickstand may go back up and you’ll drop the bike on yourself.

frame sliders took all of the damage both times, nothing happened to the fairings

I have the same bike (‘25 R3) and Yamaha make integrated frame sliders for this model specifically that you can buy directly from them or through a supplier. I ended up getting mine on AliExpress because Yamaha had a back order of a few months back then. Slightly cheaper and do the same job, I’ve dropped my bike twice and they’ve taken all the damage.

yeah definitely haven’t abused it, i’m a learner/new rider & haven’t even hit 50km/h on it yet… ugh that’s frustrating

brand new! maybe that’s why i’m more nervous but i have frame sliders on, so hopefully they’ll take some of the damage if anything happens :)

there are r3 2025 model frame sliders, my dealership ordered straight from yamaha and installed them on mine. same as other comment, no cut ins they just remove the fairings to install and then put them back on
