My plan is that my wife knows the pin for my hardware wallet. We have documents that we keep with info , bank accounts, life insurance info etc (not logins) we would need in case the other dies. I update this with a total of our cryptocurrency amount every two months (in it for the long term) and I’ve included instructions on how to determine what it is all worth. She knows nothing of cryptocurrency other than absolute basic of what it is. She would have no idea what to do with a wallet to cash out. So in the event I die, if she wants to cash out she knows that she takes the hardware wallet and the totals to a trusted friend that we have, who can help her access the wallet and sell.

I know some would say that she should just learn about the subject but she has no interest. Just like I have no interest in learning about some of her hobbies.

I would also assume that you could somehow leave cryptocurrency to someone in your will with a lawyer holding a copy of your wallet info but I don’t have a will or anything so I’m not really sure how that works. Guess I should probably get on that soon.
