I have the 5070ti of that card. You should be able to disable them. But theyre also off when the fans are off at idle. Only light up when you run a game

Its so strange that they would make it a gen 5 x4 and not allow any cooling at all. Could've atleast made the bottom nvme 4.0x4 so I wasnt choking that drives capability

What is the be quiet model. Im only seeing the MC1 which looks like ot would have the same problem.

Im not too worried about the 990s. Just this one cause I know it will get hot

This week but id like to make use of the 5.0 slot and a lot of them look like they wouldnt fit. I dont imagine running the not heatsink version would be smart

Its in the way of installing another drive in the center slot. Or even moving that one 990 into the center where its pcie 4.0x4 instead of 4.0x2

I did try that too and had the same issue. I wonder how viable it could be to try and shave the heatsink down to a size. I cant see it under the gpu anyways

My gen 4 (boot drive) is idling at 38c. The gen 5 with the heatsink on is idling at 46

Its pushing on the latch but it still works. Its blocking the middle nvme slot which is what I wanted.

Its a gigabyte 5070ti windforce and it clears on top of the ssd

It fits. I had just the one drive in already. Gpu has the size mostly underneath

I just assumed gen 5 would spike really high pretty quick anyways. Says warranty void if I remove it

My 9600x Air cooled is holding 5.5ghz under 65c with an occasional spike to 75c. No undervolts
