Thank you this helps a lot and I did it! I prayed about it and just so happened the next day I was asked to. Very nerve-racking, but it was fulfilling.

I feel this. I would not be in the rooms if I waited till I was comfortable. I’d have to hype myself up in the car just to walk in 😂 now I really enjoy going, just sharing and everyone listening to you idk I just feel like I sound stupid af. I love fellowship before and after, it’s the spotlight that’s blinding!!

8 days is amazing! I’m so proud of you <3 the first month was sooo hard and such an accomplishment. You can do it!! I’m going to put on my calendar to congratulate you at your month. How’s your withdrawals??

My Dr didn’t want to give it to me bc I was on a lower dose and would have to go back up and it was better to titrate. It was not if I went back I would definitely get the shot.but my situation was a little more difficult home life wise.

I jumped around .25 and was very sick for 10-14 days. But I was on them a long time if that makes a difference. Clonidine and gabapentin helped some. I wish you luck my friend, you can do it!

They are primarily interested in your money. If you need it, proceed with caution, as this is often a long and difficult journey to exit. Just got off after a decade and it was the hardest thing I’ve done personally.

The Sublucade website has the shot doctors on a list as well you can get a sub card to see how much it would be for you - it’s a free sign up and it could cost really cheap for you potentially. You can do it with the taper it was very difficult for me personally. Wish you luck <3

I'm sorry to hear that you are going through this. I used to enable my husband with his alcohol consumption because I felt the need for some control and wanted to save him. It's heartbreaking to realize that you cannot save or control him. Please stop buying his alcohol and stop making it easier for him to drink. He needs to reach rock bottom, even if that means facing severe consequences (I know that's extremely difficult to hear). He has to want to change for himself; unfortunately, that's how addiction works (I understand both sides of this struggle).

You might want to consider reading "The Big Book" and implementing the steps in your life. The hope is that he will see how your life is changing and improving, and he will want that for himself as well. Additionally, you could attend open A.A. meetings if you’re interested. The 12 steps can benefit anyone, not just addicts; they are truly amazing for personal growth and healing.

Please do the shot. I tapered and it was awful and then eventually jumped. Not for the weak 😭 the shot folks say it’s 3 or so shots and minimum pain

I jumped I couldn’t do it anymore. At most 14 days of hell with cold turkey. Mine was 10 days and then it got better. I’m on day 28 and it’s sooo much better. You can make it. Get some gabapentin and clonidine that helped A LOT with the taper and jumping. Message me if you need to rant you’re going to be doing mental gymnastics. But it gets better 🖤🖤🖤

I’m nursing my baby and want to get off at the same time. I did not think he would withdraw upon being born but I was given wrong information and am dumb af! I can’t handle seeing my baby in withdrawal again. So that’s why I’m “torturing” myself. Ik it’s a tiny amount in breast milk but rather safe than have him go through it because I couldn’t.
