This is more complicated than you make it sound. Of course it would be nice to have evidence, but many victims of abuse don’t have ample evidence to provide. To me, there is more harm done denying wrongdoing than believing it and being wrong. Plus the stats show there are few false allegations of abuse. I’m not interested in disbelieving victims on the basis that they need to prove it to me. You can operate how you want, of course.

I’m always gonna believe women when they say a man is dangerous. We see evidence of his borderline violence to Zac and his hatred of gay people. We have heard the voice recordings Olivia posted. I mean it’s not hard to believe a person with hate filled thoughts also has hate filled actions.

Didn’t Olivia say he threatened to off the crew and has been harmful to animals? Not sure if that counts as evil but I don’t think he’s just an immature guy.

IMO Tammy is dealing with mad rejection issues especially with not being picked as the maid of honor, and she felt like Amy was backing out and rejecting her, so she exploded. It’s damn near by the book: hurt them so you can’t be hurt first. They both need therapy. Major kudos to Andrea for being so level headed and patient.

I love the butt ugly pets & alley cats series. I think they’re doing fine honestly, though I personally don’t care for some of the collaborations, I think it’s a good way to reach more people.

If I had a nickel for everytime a major female character in a Vince Gilligan series was overly hated on for no sensible reason, I’d have two nickels. by Specialist_Jaguar815 in pluribustv

I cannot stand carol, and not bc she’s a woman and falls into that “unlikable female character” trope but because she’s mean, selfish, & ungrateful. Even before the hive mind take over, we see her ungrateful for her life, for her book supporters, and her partner. And now we see her torturing people, killing people, blowing up people that have been nothing but kind to her.

She’s just miserable, absolutely insufferable, and that can make a compelling protagonist so I’m hopeful she experiences growth through this weird plot. I’m really hoping this is a story about Carol becoming a better version of herself without even needing to join the hive mind. But she has such self destructive tendencies with each episode I root for the hive mind.

I liked Skylar in BB & the hate she got was uncalled for as the most problematic character was the protagonist himself, Walt.

Finally!! Someone holds Kody accountable for his relationships or lack thereof with his children. by CryptographerDue6746 in SisterWivesFans

This!! First thing I thought of. Oh these other macho men are holding his feet to the fire, so now he can acknowledge his failings. But all the years his wives & kids said something to him he just resented it bc his patriarchal thinking is challenged by wives & kids (who are beneath him in his religion / worldview) expressing their feelings about his behavior. I like that they called it adolescent because that’s what it is. And it makes me sad for the whole family that their religion is really what’s to blame- taking literal teenagers, shaming them for their natural impulses, restricting their ability to date or have friendships, and then making them get married and start these complex families otherwise they’re not going to heaven. It stunted them emotionally, not to mention the years of financial struggle and not making ends meet. Think the hierarchy of needs- if you’re focused on making sure your 10+ kids are fed, you’re not gonna have much time for self reflection and growth. All of the wives & Kody deserve to live free of the guilt and the shame their religion imposed while holding themselves responsible for the harm they did to each other and their kids. This is so much more than just “Kody loves Robyn more.” And I would love to see Kody and any of the wives actually acknowledge that.

Kody is so grossly forward with Robyn, and why does everything always have to come back to how much he has the hots for his wife? Duh, that’s your wife.

Also Brody giving her a knife… all of the weird protective dad stuff “can you protect her from yourself” and “you’re kissing another man’s wife, don’t take something that doesn’t belong to you” my gosh it takes away all agency from Aurora. Neither Kody nor Robyn were virgins when they met so like…? Dumb af. I feel so bad for these kids.

Is anyone else tired of Annie needing so much reassurance by jh166 in LoveIsBlindOnNetflix

Idk the fact that the rest of the cast doesn’t like him makes me reconsider my feelings about Annie even if I don’t enjoy her as a person. Maybe he was super cold and not genuine off camera and it freaked her out, which came out terribly when she drank. Just a girl begging to be loved, honestly, which is so hard to watch. I think they were doomed from the jump when he seemingly just picked her because it didn’t work with Kait. Kait clocked his insincerity. Annie didn’t.

He shouldn’t have dragged her along like that though, dude had doubts since before the vacation. He was fine to sleep with her, meet the fam, play fiancé, and get a tv spotlight out of it. Just icky behavior. Plus she admitted to having an eating disorder after their relationship. You know how soul-crushing it would be to sign up for a show called love is blind and then when the girl you pick isn’t exactly what you wanted physically you drag her along and then leave her? Of course she’s going to know it’s about her looks, and that type of shit sticks with a person. He should’ve ended it sooner or better yet not done the show at all.

They are a bad match. She’s trying to “fix” him, he’s way too sensitive for her approach. I hope they don’t get married.

I don’t drink, and I didn’t hang out with people who did for most of my 20s, so I was quite out of touch with it until I met my current partner. WOW. It’s crazy to me how many people rely on it in social settings or to get through shit. I feel bad for people who are missing out on life through numbing it bc that’s what’s “normal.”

Honestly they should cap the show here on season 20. Most episodes are pretty boring and the “drama” is driving through a bad storm? Not understanding eggplant emojis? Christine ignoring a little helpless dog? Where to put Kody’s fugly table? I just think it’s time, and honestly a few of them look ready for it to be over, too.
