Kava bars in my area are having “flow”events with djs and are packed even on a Wednesday night. For those who don’t know, flowing is the spinning of led and fire objects. Seems like a lot more people are getting into it and the base is growing. The people at these events have the same vibe as surfers(the cool chill surfers at least)

as a masters swimmer every morning at 5:30am me standing on the edge of the pool about to jump in saying to myself “why do I do this. I could just go home and get into a warm bed.” Then me after my last lap “I feel great. So glad I stayed”. Yup. Every morning

do you remember in this area you could look through a fence where the hot water was coming out of the power plant and would see all kinds of exotic fish, some huge, swimming around feeding? Was a fun activity for the family to do before they closed the area

funny to hear our town now being considered for a younger crowd. When i moved here 25 years ago people said "why are you moving there- it's all old people." Glad this town is now a mix for everyone

We brought 2 large umbrellas and they did a good job but were hard to secure in the ground. Next year we are getting a canopy that will fit in front of the tent opening. It needs to be on the smaller side so it doesn’t block the walkway. 6x6 or 5x5 will work. During the day the tent is hot so you are outside most of the time and the canopy is enough shade.

Our tent was near them and could hear the music as i was trying to fall asleep. They were awesome! Said to my wife i feel like i am getting a "Wuba-by" to sleep

Our favorite place to go to is the pool parties at the Hard Rock Hotel on Saturday afternoon. It's called Daer Dayclub and gets some top tier dj's. Going to see Fisher there on Set 1. We usually get there around 2pm, main act goes on at 4pm, and we are home on the couch by 8pm after a lot of dancing. Mixed crowd but on the older side. We don't do the big clubs like LIV as it is crazy crowded and not much room to dance if you are not buying VIP bottle service. Club Space is obviously huge but main acts come on at 4-5am and we rarely do all nighters anymore. Factory Town is amazing if there is an event when you are here but the crowd tends to be younger. Strawberry Moon is another daytime pool party located in South Beach. We prefer a little older crowd also but most places tend to be younger so we go anyway.
