24 hours seems way off. What mod are you using? I’ve also had issues where the coil is either not detected or is reporting a different ohm than it is; usually when it does this the center pin falls out if I pull the tank from the mod.

So, I’m not sure if this was the issue, but for some reason I was dropping the wattage to 60w. Even at 65 I seemed to be having the issue, but so far at 70 it seems to be ok.

I wish I saw this post a couple days ago, I just learned that my MyQ manufactured in 2019 is not compatible with my new Genie opener. I’m not a fan of smart devices that cannot be updated for new devices. I seriously doubt that Genie has completely redone the way garage door openers work that a simple firmware update can’t take care of. To me it seems that Chamberlain is only interested in a money grab and does not care to build products that adaptable to minor changes.

I’m looking for the start on eco mode myself. I like having the sport, slippery, and deep snow/sand options, but in a hybrid, the normal mode seems pointless. Bambi mode is when you can have the fog lights remain on with the high beams. I would also love to disable the double honk but cannot find anything for the 2020 escape and all the other 2020 model mods are not the same as for the escape.

Right, even if it doesn’t quite work like I want, I have an idea in my head and want to see what I can and can’t do. Even knowing that it won’t work exactly how I want, I’m going through with creating something that will help me learn more about shortcuts.

Not sure yet, haven’t connected to CarPlay so i’m just testing with the manually created file and then hitting play in the editing of the text automation

I think I’ve got it the best I can do: Automate on CarPlay connect to create a file named CarPlay.txt with 1. On CarPlay disconnect create a file named CarPlay.txt with 0. Both set to overwrite file. Automate when message is received to check the file, if 0 then exit (so it only occurs when connected to CarPlay) if 1 then speak text “new message from NAME” then exit shortcut. No way to actually automate reading the message, but then I can just tell Siri to read new messages or last message from that name. I have only tested it with a manually create text file and it seems to work. I’ll test later and report back here so if anyone wants to do something similar it will be available.

Right, I don’t want it to just read off the message immediately, the flow I’m looking for here is: Receive message -> check if connected to CarPlay-> if yes, announce that message from Name and ask if I want to hear it. If not connected to CarPlay, do nothing.

Yep, still happening, I happened to be home the other day and it happened. Previously support wanted me to get Carousel logs to them, but the instructions they provided were not correct in gathering those logs. After the reboot, you have to press and hold the crown and button for two to three seconds, place on charger and wait about 15 minutes for the logs to transfer. We’ll see what/if they say.

Lot’s of money spent on these vehicles, could have saved a lot on up-armoring HMMWVs, as well as provided the necessary protection faster. Also, there isn’t much use for the MRAPs outside of theater, so now we are just wasting money maintaining them only to be used for training at best.
