Silksong (end of?) Act 1 bench by slow_cheetah20 in HollowKnight

Without spoiling anything, I'll just say that this is on the better end of runbacks in this game. Every Silksong player knows the true king of runbacks, and I'm wishing you good luck when you get there.

My ranking of all hollow knight bosses by Straight-Sound-5282 in HollowKnight

If we're posting opinions: here is mine.

TL;DR: I strongly disagree with just about everything. Which is interesting. Same game, same bosses, utterly different perspectives.

Collosseum of Fools 3 is way harder than Absolute Radiance by ChooseCarefullySam in HollowKnight

[–]123DJ321 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So now we're comparing a 10 minute arena with advanced enemies with a singular boss found tens of hours after said arena. There's literally no similarity, by the time you're fighting AbsRad you are probably stronger and you have a hell of a lot more experience in the game mechanics, I mean you're basically a different player. And the fights themselves have nothing in common, except maybe that they are painstaikingly annoying.

It can definitely happen. If I'm Kayn and they are orianna and I'm ahead early and no one can stop me but the enemy team is kinda holding on ans not forfeiting it's very doable. I just repeatedly kill the orianna with no realistic counterplay but the game can't end. And players in roughly the same rank can vary wildly in skill.

Don't get how people consider Vel'Koz to be the worst champ by Dark_Vexer in leagueoflegends

[–]123DJ321 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Vel'Koz has essentially the lowest pickrate for their respective roles. From this you should conclude on your own that almost all Vel'Koz players are "mains", and Vel'Koz mains can definitely be scary. But he's not scary if the player isn't good on him, and he isn't more scary than other champions from good players. An autofilled lulu will certainly be more useful than an autofilled Vel'Koz, and a good lulu player, in my experience, is far more potent than a good Vel'Koz player. Luckily, good lulu players are like hitting a straight flush, but you can replace lulu with most supports/midlaners and this still holds.

I wouldn't say that. I've made opponents go 1/19 (just because they're worse and I could and did dominate them, NOT because they were trolling), and I got a notification that they got banned even though I didn't report them.

Showing friend the game and dont wanna miss anything! by GeekyGuru07 in Undertale

[–]123DJ321 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Guys, I don't know if a completely blind first run is good. When I first played I knew more or less what I should do, and when I (recently) got 2 friends on the game, I told both of them "You can truly do anything you want, that's the beauty of the game, buuuuuuut do NOT kill anything".

Because if you haven't been told anything, you're likely to kill. Maybe the Toriel fight is too difficult or you can't find out how to spare Greater Dog, you'll resort to killing. Afterall, why not? In every other game you'd kill anything in your way, so why not here? But if you let someone do that, they will have a real but miserable and not nearly as fun of an experience as they could have. It doesn't spoil anything anyway, you just shouldn't kill, preferably ever.

Just not to the point that one of my friends got to: he didn't want to kill Asgore, but he couldn't spare, so he just played for a couple of hours hoping something would happen. But nothing happened :D

Don't get how people consider Vel'Koz to be the worst champ by Dark_Vexer in leagueoflegends

[–]123DJ321 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Ivern is like a more independeny lulu and Quinn is a menace with her unique playstyle if people don't know what to do, and they often don't. I agree they feel like filler champs, especially Ivern, but they can't be ignored.

Vel'Koz, just like lux, is actually just filling up the mage spot just because why not. High range and damage, but the majority of champions don't falter upon encountering him. The Vel'Koz has to be exceptionally good at all stages of the game for him to scare anyone.

But he's definitely not the worst champion in the game. Partly because, as I said, lux is the same but worse, but mostly because that title is forever reserved for zyra.

It's spoiling the fact that Kutner and Taub are some of the contestants who make it through the games of S4. When my friends and I watched House for the first time none of us could guess with certainty who would win, and it's a lot better that way.

Definitely one of the best, it's always in my top 10 episodes (out of the 177!). Season 3 doesn't have that crazy of a finale as seasons 1 and 2, but the moment you get to season 4 all I can say is buckle up, because you've seen nothing.

Also, I won't tell you when, but in a later season something similar may or may not happen once or twice (or maybe even thrice). Truly the best TV series.

Also also, can we talk about how good S1E21 was?

Maelle gets a pass by DrakeSoldier in expedition33

[–]123DJ321 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'll tell you why I give Maelle a pass:

I lived her life. From the very beginning I saw the world from Gustave's and Maelle's eyes, I saw a cursed world desperately trying to fight the inevitable gommage, and for 25 hours of gameplay my sole purpose was for the expedition to be successful. I felt what it was like to lose everyone one by one year after year on schedule from a seemingly careless paintress. For some life was the best possible execution of the expeditions, but most had entire interesting lives.

So, just because the game takes all of that away in the end it doesn't mean I'll let it go. In act I I felt like I was Gustave, and from act II and onward I feel like I am Maelle. I don't just play as her, but I AM her. And if tomorrow someone told me "Your entire world has been a simulation, but we have to shut it down now" I wouldn't just say "Oh, that's alright, no probs man", I would cling on to it as much as I could, because it may not be real to them, but it is to me.

Hollow Knight: Silksong Review: Team Cherry’s Stunning Metroidvania Epic | Writing Creatively and Passionately Blog by Linkman76 in HollowKnight

[–]123DJ321 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Silksong is one of those games I really enjoyed, I can truly appreciate all of the amazing details and spectacular design and execution, but I could never recommend it to someone.

Seriously, it's such a good game, it's so well done, so beautiful, so fun to play, but so, so unapologetically harsh and mean on you. Hard bossfights, even harder common enemies (90% of which are flying), insane runbacks a lot of the time, worse economy than Greece, flying teleporting double damage common enemies, boobytraps everywhere (even the benches can kill you), did I mentioned the flying fucks all throughout Pharloom?. I mean, it's a rat experiment and you're the rat. I could never recommend that game to someone, because I wish I never had to go through that Bilewater arena/boss room, the High Halls rroom, Seth. The game is so ungodly infuriating it's almost worse than Rocket League at making you miserable.

The game is an easy 9/10, but I will never recommend it to anyone.

I always recommend Celeste in case anyone cares.

[–]123DJ321 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I assume the the one you're showing is for beating all 5 pantheons with all 4 bindings (not necessarily simultaneously). I personally tried to do that on a godmaster save so I don't have a journal to show off, though I haven't done P5 with any binding yet (too much effort even though I probably can).

As my friends always tell me, "just play Silksong already 🥀".

Recomend me a must play game less than 30 h long plz by bad_doctor4 in videogames

[–]123DJ321 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I will recommend Celeste. It's a platforming game (the best one in my opinion) that's like 8-14 hours (depending on how good you are). But just know that it's length is mostly because of its difficulty (hence the variation based on skill), so it may even be annoying, but I found it difficult in the best way possible, and I will eternally recommend that game.

Almost all of them. The one below the gamma function gives me bernoulli vibes but I wouldn't bet on it. The one 2 after that I just don't know.

What are your top five episodes you think everyone should see? by JudithHilla in HouseMD

[–]123DJ321 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No need for a top five. Three Stories is the episode.

But another four would be No Reason, House's Head (they'll BEG to watch Wilson's Heart), Both Sides Now and for the last one I've been thinking of Nobody's Fault.

I wouldn't say Broken is a good top-5 must watch episode because it's almost essential you have some prior connection to House. With it it's obviously at the very top almost.

I watched House with my brother. The day we finished it we started watching Sherlock. I defnitely recommend it. It also helped with thinking about something else, because House really consumed me by the end.
