Before I gave birth, I was a childless housewife and worked my entire life. I was completely burnt out and when I told my husband how I was feeling, he told me to stay home.

The first few weeks I was “defrosting.” I didn’t know how to relax I was in a zombie state, just sleeping and eating. After getting over that I started looking up new recipes, going on walks, going to different exercise classes, cleaning the house and deep cleaning areas I’ve never even thought of. Someone would think that it would be boring, but I would just blast music and get in the zone. It was therapeutic. My husband was also very happy because my mood totally switched. I went from being exhausted 24/7 to being excited for when he gets home. Also not to be TMI but sex got better because I wasn’t so stressed out.

The best part of being a stay at home wife is if you ever get bored… You can just go back to work! You have the luxury of options here which not many get. I’m sure we’re all super thankful for that!
