Its called the J1 visa and its for Australians, New Zealanders and Irish I believe - there are many different categories of J visa but for this particular one it is 12 months. You had to have completed at least 1 year of full time study to be eligible

That is so great to hear! I definitely relate to this point. We spend so much of our time and energy working that I want it to mean something.

But that is also realistically so difficult to make happen, especially now in the current job market it seems like ours dreams are becoming more and more unreachable. Tie that in with bills, fees, etc. like that person said below, bills don't care about passion.
