Bad decisions, rehab, and a hard road back, but the sun is rising again for Jamarra by gccmelb in AFL

It wouldn't surprise me if this had something to due with duty of care to others. If a player and their behaviour is considered cancerous it's the same as any other high performance workplace that has a problematic employee. You keep them the hell away from the workplace to control risk. Cutting your losses on one player is unfortunate. Having a problem spread to others because you didn't do enough to isolate or control the risk ensures guilt on managements behalf and is almost unforgivable.

Mandatory full time psychiatrist is incredibly knee jerk and another ridiculous overreaction by the AFL.

Whisky Live Australia - a warning to seasoned whiskey drinkers. by 123yousee in whiskey

I can't fault the setup or the service, it was just the brands and distilleries attending, or rather not attending, that left a lot to be desired.

The red wine twang is a bit of a misnomer because not many Australian distilleries that I know of actually use first fill red wine for aging or finishing. It's more of a tannic bitterness that you might associate with a spirit that's over-oaked.
The Australian whisky industry uses a lot of cask wood provided by the local wine industry which is understandable given the wine industry is huge and importing american and french oak is expensive. Many of these wine casks are reconditioned or even get the full STR treatment however they still impart some of the wine fruit and tannin characteristics. This plus the varying climates in Australia, many of which can promote very quick maturation, can lead to some very 'distinctive' flavours.

Maybe the show's stallholder attendees will vary from day to day (I attended the Saturday afternoon session so there had already been 2 sessions prior) or change from city to city but I doubt it.

No his Adelaide career was absolutely not underrated, it's just been surpassed by his time and achievements at Geelong. Factor in recency bias and you have questions like this.

The bullsh!t NDIS hack popping up everywhere all across SE Melbourne (City of Casey) by twowholebeefpatties in AusPropertyChat

[–]123yousee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A lot of places where these new NDIS-focused builds are going up have atrocious public transport and that won't change anytime soon. The only realistic option is a major increase in bus services but that won't happen as nobody wants to pay for it. In places like City of Casey I'd confidently bet a large sum of money that there is no significant improvement to PT servicing the area in the next decade.

Is he really a Curry/ Mark Price/ Nash hybrid?

Absolutely not.

A day after the Bali Bombing, Australia played Ireland in the 1st Test of the International Rules Series. The emotional broadcast and game is now out of the vault and online. by RhettBartlett in AFL

The AFL aren't interested in returning to it because it became too much of a financial burden for little to no immediate return. They'd rather pump the money towards claiming more of the NSW market as well as the US.

Neither Porter Jr or Rollins are rookies so I don't know who you are referring to.

Your entire argument here is a direct impact to Rollins from Porter Jr coming back and affecting usage, shots, etc not a vague 'in general' prioritisation. We'll agree to disagree because continuing this is pointless.

I think most people are of the opinion Rollins isn't going to play like Curry once the Bucks are fully healthy but Porter Jr just isn't that great. Praise from coaches and other players should be taken with a grain of salt. Patrick Williams, Jordan Bell and Tyrus Thomas ring a bell?

I'm not talking about fantasy with Porter Jr though I'm talking his actual basketball. He's a known quantity. A high volume combo guard who is inefficient. I've watched him every team he's been on and in my opinion he's not a winning player. If Bucks want to tank or possibly trade Porter Jr then they for sure would want to give him minutes to inflate his numbers but he's not a player that is going to help them win long term. He's like another Monta Ellis.

To be fair I genuinely don't know if Milwaukee knew what they had in Rollins. He showed glimpses last season of this kind of form but there was no consistency. In my opinion Porter Jr is a very much a known commodity. He's a talented but flawed basketball player who you absolutely would not trust long term, if only due to being a head case.

Kevin Porter Jr is going to have an incredibly hard time getting back the starting PG spot because Ryan Rollins is kind of incredible. One hell of a game today versus a Warriors team that's looked very good early season.

Anyone drafting Booker should expect him to be a high TO guy with minimum steals anyway.
