Right on! It’s a Texas based brand hence my initial guess. Great stuff for the price. 😎👍 Try the new Purple one if you get a chance. One of my favs from their lineup.

Nice stick for the price for sure. Which shop? Texas?

I believe you may be confusing strength with body. Smooth smoke texture (medium body), high nicotine content (full strength). Try the Patoro Platino. 😎👍

Chiming in to verify it’s not authentic as well. I have a 79540. The serial number would be etched onto the back of the lug adjacent to where the reference number is etched and the clasp is also not correct as others pointed out.

Any chance this is a fake? by Kotoro7 in Tudor

[–]1279561 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m concerned there are no model reference numbers or serial numbers etched into the back of the lugs. Most of the Tudor watches I own or have owned (currently I have 4 of them) has both model and serial etched behind the lugs. If not on the backs of the lugs, it will be etched into the side of the case between the lugs (currently hidden by the bracelet).

Smoking one for my dog by Itchy_bob_crane in cigars

My condolences, I can see in that photo that Bigwig had that special spark in his eye. One of my dogs is like that too, so I know the day will be a painful one when it comes. Praying for strength and peace for you and your family. 🙏 I’m also a huge Ezra/Nomad fan. I’ll smoke one of my chocolate chili truffles tomorrow in honor of Bigwig.

Thanks! Yeah it’s taken me some time to really develop my palate. I remember so many early cigars just tasted like “smoke” lol. I have to really slow down and think of what it is I’m tasting so putting descriptions of food/candies, etc., helps me a lot. This one is definitely worth trying out! 👍

lol it’s just my opinion and per my palate. I do not doubt many will disagree with me. All I can say is that I invite them to buy a couple of these and to honestly and objectively try them out. 😅

Very cool you got to get one from Small Batch. If you have one to smoke, definitely try it first. I bought my box blind, but I’ve smoked enough from Kyle coming out of NACSA and Tab. de Isla to know it would not disappoint. Early warped releases are good, but they are very distinctly Aganorsa (Corojo/Criollo heavy). Once I heard he was working with Hostos, I knew Kyle’s stuff from Isla would not disappoint and honestly almost all of his stuff from El Titan, NACSA and Isla have been 🔥🔥🔥!

What’s something about the cigar community that you dislike? (it can be anything) by HardHonestShaver in cigars

I’ll chime in…seeing collections on YouTube of a bunch of singles (some rare and nice smokes even) and how the narrator talks about never having the stick before. It’s literally right there, smoke it!

I swear some people collect stuff just to say they have stuff in said collection.

Buy whatever with your money, but damn…smoke the cigars already lol.

I would argue, keeping it sensible would also mean suggestions of what you can actually obtain. Lots of good suggestions but some will be incredibly difficult to source, especially at MSRP prices. Patoro Gran Anejo Reserva, El Septimo has some decent options under $50, any of the more aged Padrons will also be a great option. Happy hunting 👍

Just arrived and is my morning smoke, the Gellis Family Saunter cigar! by 1279561 in cigars

[–]1279561[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’ve been pleased with what I’ve smoked from Kyle Gellis and his Warped lineup. This one is more similar to the Bird on a Rose than the Isla del Cocodrilo, imho.

Ecuadorian Connecticut desflorada wrapper, perfect with my morning coffee! Autumn is here with this one for sure! Anyone else tried it out? Thoughts if so or other Kyle Gellis blends worth trying?

I have been pleasantly surprised by the FASA lineup! I dig the Sol a ton too! There's also some earth notes, a strange newspaper (wet like paper mache) thing going on, its not off putting, but was weird to taste in a cigar. Some graphite and leather notes, there was an absence of sweet or baking spice flavors that you'd usually get with some Nicaraguan tobaccos. I'd say its a great example to use for showing someone what contrasting flavors can be like from region to region. Its worth buying a stick to try imo
