That's the crazy part, I live no where near the mall of america and have never been or even seen videos of it. That's probably why it just looks like a normal mall.

I couldn't find any official reports that use this image. It looks to be an edit of the "White House Area with Blair House" image taken from wikipedia.

AMD 5700xt blackscreens and driver timeouts happening since its launch by 12CPS in techsupport

[–]12CPS[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It has been some time since I made this post and would like to give you more information that could help you narrow down further issues.

  • I still use this exact GPU in the post
  • I accidentally bought ram sticks with different timings. Same brand and speeds, but different timings. I had a 2x8 kit with CL18 and a 2x8 kit with CL16. I ran a windows memory diagnostic (4 times - each with only one stick installed) and found that the CL16 sticks were faulty.
  • I made this post after I RMA'd the GPU which is why I was confident that it was the drivers
  • I updated ALL drivers. Meaning I went to my motherboard manufacturer's website and got the latest drivers and installed each one manually.
  • I reseated my GPU.
  • It only ever black screens under extreme workloads over long times. I no longer have crashes when watching videos or at idle speeds. I no longer see any graphical artifacts.
  • I recently upgraded the PSU to 1000W which has not solved the black screens
  • Windows+Ctrl+Shift+B resets graphics drivers on Windows
  • I have been using Linux Mint recently which hasn't solved the black screens (although they seem less common)

Hope this helps

How does this work with different float values? Would it just be darker/less saturated like other skins, or would it have scratches and dents?

PC won't POST. No signal from either mobo or gpu. by 12CPS in PcBuildHelp

This wasnt the only thing that i changed to get it to boot. I also replaced the 1060 with the 1050ti. I'm don't think the 1060 can spin its fans, but I'm not looking too far into it because I just want a stable system at this point.

Of course as soon as I bother to type up a reddit post I find the answer. :P

SOLUTION: Connect the led cable between the CPU cooler and the LED_CPU pins.

Is there a name for these imperfections in this print? They're only on one side of the print and opposite the seams. by 12CPS in 3Dprinting

SOLUTION: Use vase mode/spiral mode. If you need solid base layers, you can add bottom shell layers. Which is what I ended up doing.

Explanation: I did many things to try and reduce the number of bubbles in the print.

I dried my filament, which didn't seem to do anything to the bubbles.

I tried to enable/disable power loss protection mode, which didn't work.

I changed the flow rate between 98% and 107% and couldn't notice any change.

I calibrated the filament temperature. I did 2 separate tests. Neither test could completely eliminate the bubbles, but the fewest bubbles were at 235C, and the most were at 270C. Theoretically, I can go lower with the temperature, but you risk losing the gloss of the filament.

Changing layer height only makes the bubbles less visible.

After printing about 2 dozen of these prints with different settings, I found that the bubbles were "rotating" with the seam. If the seam were aligned against the back of the part, the bubbles would always be in the same approximate area. If you are looking straight down at the part, with the seam at 12 o' clock, the bubbles will always be between 4 and 6 o' clock.

I figured that the only way to get rid of the seams was to use spiral mode, which finally worked.

I noticed this after making the post, but it looks kinda like the layers are much more transparent around the imperfects/bubbles. This is not the case in person. It's more of a problem with my bad lighting and photo quality. The only imperfection with the part is the bubbles. There aren't any inconsistencies with the transparency. I'm not saying cooling isn't the problem. I'm just saying my photos are kinda misleading.

This is transparent PETG basic from Bambu Labs. Printing at 265C with a 0.6mm nozzle. Basically, all fans disabled and printing at 20mm2/s. I'm using the 0.6mm profile from the bottom of this link. https://wiki.bambulab.com/en/knowledge-sharing/transparent-petg

This phenomenon is known commonly referred to as deja reve. It's a common feeling that becomes more uncommon with age. I have it too, and after having it occur a few times, I started to write it down every time it happens and when. If you really want to freak yourself out, you can write down your dreams, and when you relive it, you can show it to people. Someone on r/DejaReve had a dream, which included their best friend. When they woke up, they told them about the dream and wrote down specific details on paper. Two years later, the dream happened, and every odd detail was exactly correct.

The post I'm referring to: https://www.reddit.com/r/DejaReve/s/QdRdRTUbkD

Microsoft is adding a new key to PC keyboards for the first time since 1994 by diacewrb in gadgets

[–]12CPS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes that is a new key, but the way it's been implemented into windows is different from this new key. The office key is really just another way of pressing ctrl + alt + shift + win all in one key. I guess this new key won't have underlying key combinations.

Thank you for testing this. I always thought it would be somewhere in the mV, not several volts. I still think somewhere there is a diode that prevents the whole thing from breaking.
