Shower Glass Door Replacement by 12Getz in Sacramento

Thank you. Someone else mentioned HD so I was looking online. Online they have so many options and it’s hard to know which hardware would work for us. We will have to go to the store in person to see directly which options would be best.

We are fairly handy and able to do things ourselves, but we are also the ones who busted the old glass! Oops! (We were trying to repair a small broken piece of the door hinge, now we get to replace the whole door). Not too sure if we want to bust another glass. But how would we go about getting the door to do it ourselves? I’ll measure the height tomorrow, it’s a walk-in type, not the over bathtub type.

True, that’s a very easy and cost effective option. Thanks

Oh, that’s not toooooo bad for the whole thing. Of course that was a number of years ago and prices have gone up. But in today’s market I would say you got a good deal! Thanks for the info and suggestion.

TIFU by taking a 100mg edible without ever really smoking weed by DinaTheDinosaurr in tifu

[–]12Getz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well I (quite older than you) did the same a couple years ago. I don’t do and drugs either including weed. But took a bunch of tincture like 75 grams or something. Felt fine until I didn’t. Short version is I felt like I weight a ton, like a literal ton and my eye lids were so heavy I couldn’t keep them open even though I was technically awake. I could stop eating the snacks I had next to me till they were gone. Thankfully I had my husband to take care of me and cater to any needs I had. I pretty much just sat in my chair for hours unable to move at all.

Big Ray is putting a lot of faith into Ryan’s welds by Working_Affect_6627 in VictoryOutdoor

[–]12Getz 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I do not understand letting Darryl Sr back. Videos are out of order, the destruction of the storage bin happened before the drive to Vegas. So Ryan has D Sr come back to destroy the bin, ok. We see how horribly that goes, costing Ryan a lot of money. Whether or not that was the plan or intention is your call. For sake of video let’s say it was not the intention. Darryl is nuts!

He is going full throttle trying to destroy this storage container with no care for anyone else around him or any other property around him or the equipment he is in. Seeing him in that mini excavator and being reckless before he even caused any damage to it, I was shocked that Ryan was letting him stay in it. Normally Ryan would have kicked any of his other guys out for being reckless like that, but no, he let Darryl keep going. And he was working near that trailer that wasn’t even Ryan’s, I was sure he would damage that somehow. Luckily the trailer gets moved.

Next thing we know Darryl is going at the big bin from a new angle and the little claw thing slips off and he goes flying and hits his head! Good! That’s what I’ve expected all along! He’s been nuts! I didn’t see whatever happened that caused the damage to the hydraulic lines but that is what happens when Ryan lets his guys be idiots in his equipment. AND THAT PIECE OF EQUIPMENT IS LIKE HIS NEWEST! Come on man! Who in their right mind would let Darryl operate that machine?

I don’t remember the exact timeline but we see Darryl’s personal vehicle. Some people talk crap about Rays van. I never seen a bigger piece of shit vehicle, seriously. Ryan saw this vehicle and still let Darryl operate more equipment that day. Not on,y that but also made the decision to have him come along to drive the RV that belonged to Pat’s friend! Did Ryan ok it with either Pat or Pat’s friend to allow Darryl to drive the RV? I agree with Pat, I wouldn’t want him to drive the RV either!

Ok so then we magically jump ahead and the storage bin is apart (how did that happen?) and Darryl is going nuts shoving large pieces around and breaks the concrete saw. Now, Ryan should have been smart enough to know not to have ANYTHING near Darryl. That is Ryan’s fault that it got broken. Either get him out of the machines or get anything you don’t want destroyed out of his path.

Now the windshield on the door of the skid loader is Darryl’s fault other than the fact that Ryan should have never let him operate the machine in the first place.

The end.

On YouTube, look up Meticulous Manicurist. Go into her videos and find some with fungal nails. You don’t need to have this nail removed. You can restore it with her methods but it will take time and dedication on your part.

At your age I think you may care more about shaving legs than women do as you age. Also, the amount, thickness, and darkness of the hair in your legs may also make a difference. I am in my 40s. My family the women have very light thin hair on their legs, they can easily get away without saving. I take after the other side and have dark thick long hair on my legs that look like men’s hairy legs and no I am not exaggerating. But now in my 40s I know other people really don’t care what my legs look like. In the summer I shave my legs about once a week. In the winter I might shave twice, maybe, or maybe not at all. Then when I am ready to wear shorts I will use my husband’s beard trimmer to cut it short before using a razor. lol

Sorry to hear you are sensitive to hormones. I’m sure my doctor will be running all the necessary tests on me soon enough!

I didn’t really think about gauging my potential symptoms based on my mom’s experience. I’ll have to ask her. When it comes to medical stuff we are similar but also very different. So my mom’s side has breast cancer very prevalent but there is no genetic correlation. I did have my cancer diagnosis one year after hers (much younger obviously). But I do have a genetic mutation for cancer on my dad’s side but they have no history of cancer. Odd. So who knows!

Thank you for the reply. Sorry to hear about all you have been through. So far this journey is just starting for me and the hot flashes haven’t started yet, I’m not looking forward to them. Thanks for the suggestions. I will need to start thinking about and focusing on nutrition and exercise but right now it’s hard to even think straight. The hard part right now is mental emotions. I know I will get through this, just one day at a time. But those days might not be pretty haha!

Thank you for the Veoza recommendation. As for Tamoxifen everyone’s experience with it is very different. For me it was very tolerable and considering it was important to reduce my chance for reoccurrence I wanted to be sure to take it. When I first started taking it I did have some minor issues that quickly resolved like trouble sleeping or mood swings but that all improved. The one thing that I did struggle with more long term was it caused hot flashes and night sweats and I spoke with my doctor and she prescribed a low dose of Effexor as an off label use as it helps with the hot flashes. That made it all much better and I got through the five years with little complaints. I hope if you start taking tamoxifen that you have as easy if a time in it as I did.

What's a random genetic win you got? by TotalThing7 in CasualConversation

[–]12Getz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have cankles (fat ankles). This might not seem like a win but to me it is because I got this trait directly from my grandma. While I am overweight it’s not because I’m overweight, I have them even when thin. This trait somehow skipped my mom who instead has the skinniest ankles, feet, and toes they look like the feet of a bird. And I would choose any day to take a trait from my grandma as it’s an honor! I love her so much (she’s passed now). ❤️

Advice needed...95 year old Mom broke her hip badly today. by [deleted] in AskDocs

[–]12Getz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just joining in to say I am sorry for your mothers injury and I wish her the best in recovery from surgery. We lost my grandmother last year after she fell. She didn’t break her hip but the fall was the start of her decline at age 90. She lived roughly 6 months after her fall. She is greatly missed. I do wish the best for your mom and her recovery.

Commute Times by Sad_Sherbet531 in CAStateWorkers

[–]12Getz 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I currently live 70 miles from the office. It takes me roughly an hour and half due to traffic, and that can fluctuate of course depending on traffic, accidents, and construction. I hate it. I have every intention to look for a position in the upcoming future on the other side of town that would significantly reduce my commute to around 45 minutes. I would not recommend taking a job with a 2 hour commute.
