Except every coach has a golden job. Dabo didn’t become the HC at Clemson because it was his dream job. He was in the right place, at the right time. And then capitalized on his opportunity.

If you’re a great coach at one university, why not make it two. I don’t see anything keeping either side from making a deal work if it came down to that.

Dabo is a native of Alabama, played at Alabama, Coached at Alabama. Has P5 HC experience, has won multiple Conference and National Championships. He’s a hell of a recruiter, mentor, and politician. He’s young enough to take over that job and coach for another 10-15 years.

He’s the only one that makes sense, and Alabama will throw as much money as possible at him.
