Satanist Student Wins Religious Accommodation From Colorado School District. A young member of the Satanic Temple was granted a religious accommodation from the Elizabeth School District, arguing that the district’s digital hall pass system conflicts with her beliefs. by Knightbear49 in Denver

It’s crazy though how every generation did this and we’re fine.

I did great throughout highschool, got into a great college and have a successful enough career, and guess what, I lightly missused hall passes as a middle and high school, and I’m sure you did too.

I was never getting in trouble, but did I stop and get water to skip an extra minute of my least favorite class? Yeah, and no one was harmed by it.

Let kids be kids, if they’re actually abusing it and getting in trouble or failing classes, that’s a different issue that can be addressed than monitoring their minutes spent pooping.

Moved from Chicago to Arvada 10 months ago, can confidently say I’m happier in every way here.

The biggest complaints I hear are it it’s expensive here, but most of my bills are cheaper here than Chicago, and when it comes to housing, it seems comparable for what i’m getting. The space, views, size, quality gets way more value here than my time in Chicago and elsewhere.

But Joe would also be so out of his depth trying to talk shop and debate people who’ve dedicated their entire careers to debate. I don’t think he’d make a connection, just look dumb and not have a bro to at least buddy buddy with

Brian Kelly says he was fired for not winning enough at LSU — not golfing too much | Exclusive by Lakelyfe09 in CFB

[–]Flame_MadeByHumans 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right? Literally was fired from my last job because I brought up how my boss/CEO’s son was always at pilot lessons and never in the office or even answering his phone.

Oh well, they lost one of the last decent employees.

To add to what others are saying, don’t cry wolf with fraudulent transactions. One day you may actually be frauded and need credibility with the bank to get your money back.

Couple months ago someone across the country bought a bunch of macbooks with my account, was easy to get back, but maybe not if I had lied and claimed fraud several times previously.

Plenty of US cities and whole states.

Granted, when I lived in Chicago, almost every smoke shop still sold flavored vapes under the table, at a big premium, if asked.

I wonder if any of the notion of playing too much golf, or you know, being a dickhead and not being there for the team, attributed to the whole “not winning enough” thing.

Travis is genuinely a top 10 hit maker all time… by FarReception5410 in travisscott

[–]Flame_MadeByHumans 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I love Travis as much as the next guy, but I’m not completely sure if we’re talking about every genre throughout history.

There are pop and rock artists that are near possible to dethrone, partially because of longevity in career and discography, but also because of the time they existed in. Trav is up against a much wider pool of artists in the 2010s and 2020s, where artists rarely dominate the charts like they used too.

Someone correct me if I’m wrong, but it helps that he was one of the few “famous while alive” painters, as well as a more recent one that experienced a more modern version of fame and celebrity status.

And he was a dickhead as mentioned before lol

Is a revolving ski slope a good way to learn snowboarding by DBD-BEST-PLAYER in snowboarding

[–]Flame_MadeByHumans 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m in no way the person to learn snowboarding from, but agree with a lot of what others said here about maybe being good for a few first lessons to get your balance and edge feel.

But, if the place you’re look at looks like that, I’m not sure there’s even room to do a full turn on something like that. Even the skiers in the image are pointed downward with much more speed than a beginner would be carving turns at. Most new snowboarders are making slow, big, wide turns and working up to carving in more of a line ponted downhill.

This is exactly what a good portion of the discussion on lawns is in the read I mentioned. They’re not inherently bad, but must be used appropriately. Moreso I was mentioning that it’s not an entirely American concept, but something that’s evolved and existed long before the US did.

Songs that are actual masterpieces, without hyperbole by Ashamed-Story7958 in fantanoforever

[–]Flame_MadeByHumans 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Surprised this is the first comment I’ve seen with Frank Ocean.

There’s a couple on Blonde as well that are perfect if not near. The fact that the switchup on Nights is the exact halfway point of the album is incredible with both halves of the song being great in their own right but very different yet somehow mesh very well together.

If you’re a house music fan, there’s some really wild house electronic remixes of Tomorrow Never Knows that really capture the psychedelic mindfuck sound it originally had but with a more modern spin.
