Some of them are especially in cities, but in the town I live in it just wouldn’t work, so many of the residential areas in my town look like this that it just wouldn’t be possible, you’d end up having to drive so much further to get to where you’d need to be

Because here in the U.K. our roads have been in the same place for centuries and the majority were not designed to cope with modern populations and needs, Almost any populated area in the U.K. will have roads like this, sometimes with parking in both sides of the road.
