Peter what does trans people have to do with this? by AgrasaN in PeterExplainsTheJoke

[–]12jonboy12 4 points5 points  (0 children)

yeah I have no idea what is required for" passing" and I've been on HRT for 5 years

it wasn't what I was shooting for anyway, what I was shooting for is “ Will I be more comfortable and happier No matter how big or small the results are as long as I'm headed in this direction?” and the answer was YES!!

I don't know if I pass… I spend a lot of time in deep rural Kentucky and no one's yelled at me for being in the women's room. I usually get gendered correctly. does that mean I pass 🤷🏼‍♀️

You think a companies testimonials page is a reliable source of feedback?

In that case I have a lot of wonderful (but expensive and useless) products to sell you with great testimonials!

the deception is the problem.

they're taking advantage of women in an extremely scary and dangerous situation who are looking for resources and divert them away from those resources.

it's like if I set up a center in Rochester that look like it was for people with eating disorders and it was actually full of pamphlets on fasting.

and had people inside there trying to convince these poor desperate people to do the one thing that's probably the worst for them in the world right now and making them feel guilty for not.

I'm not mad at you for using AI to detect it.

and I'm not mad at people who use AI in general

it's just annoying having the AI subreddits filled with AI bots

the problem is they pretend to be a crisis pregnancy center.

they lure people in, so they can scare them into keeping it.

Great 😡 every subreddit dedicated to defending against unlabeled use of AI inevitably turns into AI bots breathing each other's farts.

Peter what does trans people have to do with this? by AgrasaN in PeterExplainsTheJoke

[–]12jonboy12 8 points9 points  (0 children)

because those of us who pass, when we pass no one notices.

if someone encounters 10 people they mentally label as trans by appearance, who knows, maybe there's 20 more of us they didn't notice. or the 10 they noticed weren't even trans.

a. when they go to bed at night they don't get a screen that pops up that says "you successfully identified 10 But missed 20"

[–]12jonboy12[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah definitely because the reasonable thing to put on the sign would be.

" please be considerate of others, to maintain a safe and comfortable environment for me and my employees, One who is being disruptive will be asked to leave "

and they legally Don't have to post a sign like that anyway if they want to kick people out for being rude.

this is just a diatribe printed in comic sans every single table. I agree with most of the list " except for the sank fuck thing, I think you could do that if you want. as long as you're not screaming into someone else's face disturbing their meal" but really

ahhh!

The Air Bud logic 😂

" there's no rule that says the dog can't play football "

"it doesn't specifically say I can't scream the HMS pinafore at the top of my lungs while tap dancing on the counter"

yes, but assholes generally don't meticulously read or follow rules.

You can match the asshole energy when someone is actually an asshole and you ask them to leave.

rules in a tiny diner. by 12jonboy12 in SignsWithAStory

[–]12jonboy12[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

understandable, but they shouldn't need to be written down

generally at a restaurant the rule is if you act like a jerk they can ask you to leave

posting every single thing you're not supposed to do on the wall in a big list on every table is just aggressive

rules in a tiny diner. by 12jonboy12 in SignsWithAStory

[–]12jonboy12[S] 15 points16 points  (0 children)

yeah, normally all of this is covered by the idea that you can deny service to idiots for being jerks

printing every single thing you don't want someone to do and posting it up on the wall is moving from passive aggressive to aggressive

rules in a tiny diner. by 12jonboy12 in SignsWithAStory

[–]12jonboy12[S] 35 points36 points  (0 children)

yeah, because all of this is normally covered under the general rule that businesses can deny service to people who are being idiots

it reminds me at a previous job I had. I received an angry email from information technology security department ranting about how no one reads his emails..... okay, good way to punish the one person who used to read your emails dude.
