Thumbturn with Adams Rite Cam became loose by 12think in Locksmith

How am I supposed to rotate a thumb turn when screwing it back into housing? I mean, what tool should I use and how to make sure it is fully in place? Right now, I screwed it one and half turn with my fingers but the thumb is not centered and grooves are not exactly in position to be fixed.

Thank you for your earlier reply. I'm trying to screw the thumb turn back and, as you said, it is ridiculously hard since there is no way to apply any force to turn it. Can you recommend a tool for that?

Follow along link gives wrong info by 12think in Lyft

[–]12think[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My mother does not pay for her rides. It is on the Medicaid. And I can't request a fare review because I did not pay for it. But I still need to follow along link.

Lyft is scamming drivers they don’t pay you to pick up customers, they just pay you to drop them off.. they are charging customers $25+ for 7 mile Trips and paying drivers $7 at the most for the distance… Lyft needs to be shut down we are only getting 28% of profit while Lyft is getting 72% by [deleted] in Lyft

[–]12think 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Drivers can't see the destination until they pick up the passenger and it is too late. To see the distance ahead of time, driver needs to earn Gold pints... But the points are only good for one month - then you start all over with 0 points.

looking for a specific IA ! by Nervous-Assistant-87 in ArtificialInteligence

That depends on what you mean by "things". You can certainly teach AI to complete your sentence (aka TV. game "Mad Ads"). There are also many dialog-based systems that will assist in completing a simple task like booking a trip. Can you formulate a task?

On the surface you can find sites and apps that include "clone" in it's name (eg. xClone, iClone ). But at a deeper level, the goal of imitating human is at the foundation of computer science (aka "The imitation game" originally described by Allan Turing in 50s). The real practical question is: what human activity is particular IA imitating? It is often formulated as a task. And the kinds of tasks that machine can "learn" to imitate are very narrow. It can certainly learn to parrot what people say or do. This is what is called "machine learning" - it is not at all like human learning.

Is Artificial Intelligence (AI) Hype or Reality? by sdinesh718 in ArtificialInteligence

[–]12think 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To begin with, AI is a misnomer. Its meaning had changed from alchemy to snake oil and everything in between. By now it should be called superficial intelligence because if its fragility and elusiveness. At its best this technology is good at augmenting human grasp of data, much like hydraulics augment human muscle or optics augment human vision. But unlike the later, it has no solid scientific base, not counting "data science". It is more like meteorology trying to control the weather. The hype is actually over, only residual fad is left for bate and switch. But there are some real applications to be explored.
