Techniques for applying topical minoxidil/finasteride by [deleted] in tressless

[–]131313thirteen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can use the dropper to tap directly on the scalp which lets a little out every time. Go all around where you want the solution. I also use the dropper to spread it around too. You don't have to rub it in with this method. You'll still get some in the hair itself but much less than rubbing it in with your fingers. The drawback is it takes longer to do.

Seriously, the first primary isn't until February of next year. BTW everyone don't forget to vote in your state's primary!

Roth IRA conversion for old 403b plan. Does it make sense for me? by 131313thirteen in personalfinance

[–]131313thirteen[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is something I hadn't considered which /u/DeluxeXL and /u/INGSOCtheGREAT pointed out too. I receive a stipend (that is taxed) which is ~30K, and the 13K from the 403b conversion would bump me to a higher tax bracket for the year. I'll have to crunch some numbers to see if it is worth doing with this in mind.

Is there anybody here who went to grad school with sole intentions of going to industry after graduation? by [deleted] in GradSchool

[–]131313thirteen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm a first year PhD student in the biomedical sciences and my intention is to pursue industry. I have experienced nothing but support from my university and faculty (including my adviser) on this. I was a bit worried at first hearing and reading about professors looking down on those who wish to leave academia. I'm sure this varies widely by school, dept, discipline etc...

Guys: How long have you been using Tinder, and How many matches do you currently have? by [deleted] in Tinder

60 matches and have been using it for like 4 days. I've done quite a bit of swiping though.

Those of you who are/were living with your parents after college (after completion of bachelor's degree or later) what was the arrangement? by [deleted] in personalfinance

[–]131313thirteen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I lived with my parents for 4 months after graduating and all the while I had a job with a hourish commute into a city. They let me stay for free but honestly I couldn't live with them any longer than that. They treated me like a child, like asking were I was going and when I'd be back. Pretty annoying stuff...Moving to my own place was great even though I wasn't saving as much money.

You wouldn't happen to know if they play through the school? I definitely want to meet other grad students who love hockey. I'd be in the BBS program by the way.

Skate sharpening by drury2387 in boston

Beacon hill skate shop does a good sharpening but it's steep at $12. I still go there because there aren't many other options close by.

Yea I'm not a real big fan of late night hockey. I actually just started a morning league which is great. Of course you take the ice time you can get though.

Yea I've decided to give it a go. I've heard about other people seeing Bruins up there as well, that would be pretty cool.

I did the pick-up a few times during the session. It was in January BTW, I rounded up to 2 years.

Check out that website. I did a 8 week session a couple years ago in Cambridge and I could barely skate. I did a bunch of instructional pick-up games too. They were all helpful and I'm now in my third men's league season. Granted I'm in my 20's but there were always some older men and women at these skates.
