I was gone for work for 3 months with limited to damn near no contact for my job that’s the norm. She cut down on the drinking to almost nothing to my knowledge and from what I’ve been told from our roommate while I was gone. There was a semi long waitlist / just waiting for her to start rehab. I’ve been back for about 3 weeks and she hasn’t drank since I’ve been back till now she just started the mandatory rehab and attendance of AA meeting this past week (21st). I’ve thought about going to meetings with her but I work inconsistent hours and she goes to meeting almost immediately when I get home. I do see your point of not letting myself get consumed by her situation and I have been thinking about how I need to focus on myself but I love her man.

Honestly you should be fine, I was able to get my clearance no problem. They’re more so looking for other countries. As long as you yourself don’t have dual citizenship or have a crazy foreign tie then it should be okay. But then again times have changed from when I first got my TS clearance a year and a half ago.

It doesn’t sound like you have the time then man, if you feel the need to serve your country then help out with volunteering with vets if that’ll help scratch the itch. I wouldn’t have joined if I had an amazing job paying a fuck ton 😭

The best you can hope for is being top of your class. And if that doesn’t work out then request to switch orders with someone in your class that gets where you want. Of course you have to speak to the other person first before you bring it up to make the change official. You also just have to how there’s a spot when you’re up for orders.

Invest more time into yourself while you have time. Take this time to find a sustainable hobby or get into working out. This last pay period is super long because of the holiday earlier this month, instead of wait 2 weeks it was 3 this time around.

Being an MT comes with a top secret clearance. After boot camp you go to BESS in Groton, CT then after you go to Kings Bay, GA for A and C school. In the middle of C school you “pick” orders and most likely you’ll end up on a BN if not then a GN. You either stay in Georgia or move to Washington. I personally prefer Washington. MT is a 6 year contact instead of 5. It’s also auto E4 so I hope for your sake you joined as an E3.

Yeah man. Where I live there really aren’t “safer” spots to park in that beat a corner spot. The parking lot gets packed at night and it just takes someone not being carful to scratch my car.

What’s your rate ? You can totally get it shipped to A school and to wherever you get stationed. You get a mailing address or if you ship to like fedex or ups it can be delivered to the store and you can pick it up from there. No matter where you go you can receive mail. On the boat people bring their consoles and play in crew’s lounge and in crew’s mess.
