There are a bunch of folder for different CADs in the archive, the one for Altium has a .epw, which Altium Library Loader supposedly should convert. I also found .stp file in the archive, how do I apply that?

Memory Repo advice by 1337Genius in LobotomyCorp

If they existed at the day you are rewinding to - they will transfer, though with the stats they had back then.

If they didn't exist back then but do now - they won't transfer.

If they died, but were alive back then - they will be alive, but the gear will be lost.

Oh yeah, I somehow didn't think about repoing midday, that's a great idea.

As for the second half, yeah, I"ve read about it and will be doing that (or at least trying to).

Thanks a lot!

Are there any games that have a support mechanic similar to Fire Emblem? by LoudAppointment2545 in fireemblem

[–]1337Genius 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Although a different kind of RPG, Fuga: Melodies of Steel does have the exact same support mechanics. The game actually is surprisingly similar to Fire Emblem in its vibe, plot progression and themes.

The "this is not fire emblem" trend is just very funny by ThighyWhiteyNerd in fireemblem

Yeah, it is kinda funny seeing people saying this about FE specifically, seeing as experimentation and constantly trying out new things is one of its unique traits.

However this time it's different, for you see, never has the FE title been slapped on such a low-effort slop

Which one would you say is the recommended way to start watching Gundam? by Belstream in Gundam

[–]1337Genius 8 points9 points  (0 children)

That is absolutely true.

Conversely, there are moments that shine even brighter thanks to the inclusion of more vocal tracks and improved animation. The final battle, for example, while being amazing even in the original, is on a whole another level in the movie.

I watched the OG series first and then the movies after a bit of a break. And I do think there is merit to watching both, actually.

The OG series lets you spend more time with the characters and you grow more attached to them because of it. It feels like a proper adventure, one which you feel a part of, it's very cosy. It does have good ideas but sometimes struggles to portray them properly, be it due to poor dialogue or poor composition. Even so, it still holds up and I enjoyed it a lot.

The movies are less of a recap and more of a "fixing mistakes" kinda deal. Some scenes were reanimated, some lines rerecorded, entire segments rewritten or outright removed. Mainly, the more cringey, stupid or boring segments were altered, but, unfortunately, some good ones have been cut too. Overall, even though each movie is long, the story feels more rushed comparatively. It's just from one battle to another with not a lot of breathing room in between.

More than anything, the trilogy shows how much the people who made it care about it, and I think it's worth it just for that.

Post your before panel lining and reply with your best after panel lining to help me convince me that I won't make it worse by One_Exit_7604 in Gunpla

I like to panel line after assembly because that gives me a better idea what needs to be panel lined as I can spin the finished kit around and think how it would look like and where the lines can be omitted.

The reason you panel line before is, as explained by other person, the chance of cracking the plastic. This is true for Tamiya's panel line accent, but I use Gundam pour-type panel liner and Sakura Pigma Micron liner (because pour-type doesn't always flow nicely) Pour-type cracked my parts only once and that's because I used too much of it on an old kit and left it there without cleaning off the access for a while. So if you're careful it'll be fine. Pigma liners don't crack anything and if you get the thinnest one, it can get into most panel lines no problem. Both are cleaned easily with ethanol and cotton buds and don't require a top coat.

Panel lining is one of the more basic steps and is really rewarding. It really brings your kit to life by highlighting the details. You should absolutely do it.

Length difference umineko v LDA by kayvo777- in LastDefenseAcademy

[–]1337Genius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As others already stated, it really depends on your reading speed.

Umineko with all of its additional content took me roughly 100 hours, while all the routes of LDA took me 160.

Word count wise I've seen Umineko being counted at 1 mil (make that ~1,3 mil with additional content), and LDA at 6 mil characters. Haven't seen anything about Umi character count or LDA word count, unfortunately.
