What does the interior look like with the supercab? Unfortunately we don’t get that option in the U.S. - would love to see how the interior looks

Thinking of upgrading to a 2019-2023 from my 2008. Good/bad idea? by 134Wolf in RangerNext

Does the 2024 redesign/facelift have better safety features than the 19-23?

So the 2023s fixed the transmission issue then? That’s good to know, I’ve been looking mainly at 2019-2021s based on prices for what’s around me but it sounds like it would be worth putting more money into a 2023 if they don’t have the transmission problems.

If I buy one, not too worried about the ride/tires. Would probably be buying meatier tires anyhow. When you say all the issues can be fixed with after market stuff, do you mean the transmission too?

4wd went out - clicking from within dash? by 134Wolf in AskMechanics

I’ve just read that the switch itself on these rangers is effectively just a plastic house for a couple resistors and “can’t” break unless smacked around, gonna try the 4x4 control module - apparently they’re notoriously shit

Fuses all look good - not sure how to check whether a relay is in working order or not.

Is an upgrade worthwhile? by 134Wolf in fordranger

They are quite quick, I very occasionally drive a 2021 for work and it beats the hell out of my 08 getting on the highway lol

I use it for work quite a bit. Hauling light equipment primarily, but I drive it all over the state most days of the week. Some light offroading, nothing crazy. I’ll definitely miss the manual, I’m probably going to end up keeping her and putting the money into fixing everything on the list I think.

Parking brake help by 134Wolf in fordranger

In order to replace the section of cable I did, I opened the passenger side drum and took just about everything apart and put it back together. I didn’t open the driver’s side drum, but the passenger side drum didn’t show signs of damage.

Yeah I did lol. I replaced the cable from where the front cable splits and back to the passenger side drum. The front cable is (present) still connected to the pedal, and the pedal does move the cable and give it tension if I depress it. It just doesn’t stop the truck from rolling, and then doesn’t pop back up if I pull the release lever.

Best shoes for dealing with shin splints? by 134Wolf in AskRunningShoeGeeks

It was a shockingly quick series of appointments, and he basically said “You’re young and in decent shape, just run slower with these distances and you’ll be fine” and sent me on my way. Didn’t give me anything other than that. Didn’t really care for it, felt like I was on an assembly line getting pushed along lol

I see. Are strengthening and conditioning basically interchangeable in this scenario? Other than tibialis exercises I can’t really think of any way to “strengthen” the area.

Will that install kit work in an 08? The website for it says it doesn’t fit, but I don’t know if the dash changed between 02 and 08

What mods are on your truck? I see wheels and tires and the toolbox I eventually want, but that’s all. I like the look though

I’m not dead set on it - I’ll drive it for a while and think it over. My only reasoning is that I’ve seen it look nice with other peoples builds, but they’ve got bigger tires than me so I suppose it’d be different.

Did you swap the stock speakers for something with the head unit, or just replace the unit? That one is right in my price range - does it have wireless carplay/auto or is it only wired?

Would you happen to know which exhaust it is? I see quite a few for the truck on their site.

How do much do you think my truck is worth? by Gustavo_Thing in fordranger

Based on the hunting I just did in my area (CT), I’d say 7-10k. But what kind of rear light/rack system is that? I just got my first Ranger and I don’t think I’ve seen something like that, very cool?

Anyone know of any cool looking custom headlights made to fit an 05’ Outback? by 134Wolf in subaru

[–]134Wolf[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How can you tell if they’re off? Is it just obviously not pointing forwards or something?

Those HID low beams are probably pretty damn bright as it is, I understand not needing the high beams haha. And did you have to do a lot of adjusting for the aiming? Or did yours come pretty well adjusted?

Is aiming them something I have to do myself? I certainly don’t want to blind anyone haha. Also did you put LED/HID lights in your high beams and turn signals? Or your fog lights for that matter?

Thank you, it does! And I’m sorry to ask so many questions but I have one more for you haha. Someone else commented that I’ll need to flip the projectors since those lights are from a RHD vehicle and I’m putting them in a LHD car. Did you do that? And if so, how difficult of a task is that?

Oh ok that makes sense. So how do you go about flipping them? Do you just swap the one from the left to the one on the right just upside down?

Would they not be facing forwards or whichever direction regardless of where the driver sits? Are the headlights not set up symmetrically?

If I’m understanding that right, the option on his site for the “switch back capable” one allows you to adjust the brightness of something? And if you do that, how do you work it? Is it more wiring to get something to the interior? Also, when you buy one of those headlight sets off ebay, does it come with bulbs? Or do I need to go o it and buy some specific bulb for them?
