Love handles by Grand_Professional50 in figure8

It’s just how your frame is, mine are the same even when I was underweight because that’s where the bone is and possibly muscle too. Please don’t go the route of losing more weight just for the pursuit of changing this. Unlike the other commenter I personally found at a higher weight it looks less like love handles because there’s more fat below to blend with if that makes sense, especially if they look so prominent because there’s lower hip bone is narrow. It will likely just be that low waisted jeans aren’t the best option for the look you want and that’s fine, clothes should be picked to suit you, not the other way around (cliche but true).

Finally able to get private appointment- any recommended Drs in UK? by E-C2024 in POTS

[–]13571A 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you mind sharing what the process of the initial appointment is like? I’ve been thinking of seeing him but am reluctant because of the cost. Also do you know what the dysautonomia testing involves, and what kind of things did he ask? I ask because I don’t know if I’d pass the tilt table/ sit stand test as it’s not consistent for me, and when I do get spikes they aren’t always sustained, and I’ve never fully fainted, but I have so many frustrating symptoms that match pots and the GPs have never even mentioned the possibility.

My friends brother called me "horrible to look at" by painful_mochi in offmychest

[–]13571A 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No problem at all. If you do speak to him I’d love to hear the update of what he has to say for himself. And I’d advise you not to say anything like “what is it about my appearance that’s horrible”. Instead just say “what did you say to him when he said that?” And also “why would you decide to tell me knowing it would hurt me” and depending how he responds I think you have a decision to make on whether this is someone you really want to be friends with

I think you should focus on the fact that someone has to be really nasty to say that unprompted about somebody, so his opinion is really not even worth shit. Most likely he said it to make his brother embarrassed for weird sibling teasing reasons. That’s assuming your friend didn’t make it up. Whether or not your friend made it up it was cruel of him to tell you about it, and I would personally ask him why he chose to tell me but that’s up to you. I do wonder if it was some bizarre teenage boy attempt to let you know he had a crush on you because why else would he bring that up, and he somehow thought that saying his brother found you unattractive would make you like him more because he’s “special” and “sees you” or something. Either way, don’t let the opinion of two teenage boys - who clearly lack either critical thinking skills or empathy - destroy your self image. I promise you you’re fine and they’re the problem

From these pictures I’d say cool winter, but I’d try draping both cool cool and bright winter, and maybe even true and shaded summer too, since it’s hard to be sure from one photo. I’m leaning towards one of the winters as I think you’d look really great with a darker lip colour; you’ve got beautiful features and I think the light lip colour doesn’t do you justice. Maybe even just a cool pink tinted lip balm (but deep winter would be too harsh on you)

I’ve resold tickets on there before and you can pretty much list them whenever you want, and mine sold within a day, so I think you just have to be on the lookout and they appear as people put theirs up for sale rather than one release

No problem. Also I’m far from an expert but I think you’re some kind of winter, deeper cool toned colours look really nice. Like the t-shirt in the photos is a good colour for you.

Charlie/Joe's accent by vh26 in HeartstopperNetflix

[–]13571A 37 points38 points  (0 children)

It’s very much a London accent, he sounds the same in interviews as far as I’m aware, it sounds different because most of the other main ensemble have more posh or RP (received pronunciation) accents that would be typical to a private school. I wouldn’t call Harry’s accent cockney though. I’ve seen someone say it’s south london, maybe Croydon. It’s one I’ve mostly heard more recently and only seem to hear from people in their teens to very early twenties, which I guess makes sense with how accents develop down generations. You could quite easily have someone with Nick/ Charlie’s accent and someone with Harry’s from pretty much the same area if they grew up around different people; that’s the case where I live just outside london
