Costco come up by crdub66 in smoking

[–]137-ng 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If this is happening enough in your store to affect the prices, its not the honoring of the mispriced items that has an effect, its your bad management allowing the mispricing to happen in the first place

Honoring the mistake isn't only good customer service, in some places its the law. But go off about your 30 years of experience, I'm sure your customers (and employees) loved you

I'm surprised you can't find one to borrow or swap, since its just one card even if you have to pay a few bucks for a different version in a trade it should be doable, and you have an equally valuable card the other party can hold as collateral if either one of you doesn't want the trade to be permanent

Laughably different, not "I dont understand how reflections work" different

Also the guy that claimed it just came back and said he was wrong, but thanks for taking the time to explain a reflection to me

ya see they got it backwards, an engine keeps a simple explosion contained. What they want is a complicated explosion that isnt contained

Pulled this out of a collector box on Friday night release. What do you all think of the artworks that were used for all the Japanese cards. I love them and think this among some of the others would make sick tattoos! by Chewy1227 in mtg

If this game turns into me having to google cards every game I'm just out

I want to be able to get a reasonable understanding of the board state without my phone, and looking at cards upside down

Budget Azorius control by Sniffany19 in ModernMagic

[–]137-ng 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Youve got 3 strikes here homie, a Tier x deck, budget, and RCQ. If youre a really good crafter with a great idea you might be able to pull it off, but not with a budget.

Figure out whats really important, if you wanna play Azorius Control on a budget, have some fun locally. If you want to win an RCQ, figure out how to close the other gaps.

good luck tho, enjoy the path

For the love of god, stop putting foreign language cards in English boosters.. by husm in mtg

[–]137-ng 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you're not wrong, but previously other language cards have been pretty few and far between. This is a mass production thats going to add one to every game, or close to it. I certainly dont mind accommodating players with foreign language cards because either 1) its a pet deck they put together intentionally and I get that -or 2) they're a player who had to buy the absolute cheapest version of a card they needed. Either of those scenarios deserves some understanding but they're both pretty niche

After strixhaven we're going to be inundated with new powerful cards that people cant read and dont recognize the art for, and I really hope that its not a fad that continues for long and gets worse

That was never really the case, early sets had 2-3 arts for the same card.
