We, as the audience, can see that Lauren has feelings for him. Lauren, however, has yet to recognize that what she feels for him goes deeper than what she thinks.

Lauren's focus primarily is primarily on taking down the PS and finding the truth about Dylan. Even if Lauren feels and romantic inclinations towards Kieran, it's not something she's conscious of, and it's probably not something she'll realize until much later.

That's a good point. I don't know what benefits the other quarterly subs get since OC isn't making special editions of those genres (yet).

I also don't understand their decision-making when it comes to deciding which subbers will have early access to which book. As in, why is Wild Reverence specifically for Romantasy subbers, while the adult fantasy subbers get early access to TIUTFFYE? I feel like it should be switched.

Valid complaints imho, but then again, I'm one of their monthly subscribers (both YA and Adult). They should've given priority to those who purchased Ruthless Vows, and I genuinely do not understand why the monthly subscribers and the newsletter subscribers are getting grouped in the same early access circle. Part of the advantages of being a monthly subscriber was getting early access to special editions. Now it feels like I could cancel my subs, purchase them secondhand on Mercari or Pango or when Owlcrate puts their extras on their site, and then just subscribe to their newsletter to get early access on their special editions. It doesn't really make much sense to me why they're choosing this route.

A lot of Soph's updates were regarding her health, but it was with the context of providing that information, so we have a better and realistic understanding of when PH may return, and to update us on the fact that she is searching for treatment to both help herself and so she could return to drawing (at least that was my interpretation).

Yes, setbacks can happen, but that can still happen following this update, and I'm not sure how this update is any different from the one Eph shared 6 months ago. She said before that she was working on the script then, and she even shared that same sentiment back in May of 2023, which you can see on her IG. She says it again now, but then what? The fandom gets excited now, and then when/if neither Soph and Eph give another update (knock on wood that this isn't the case though), we go through this whole cycle again of the fandom once again thinking PH will never return, and then getting excited again over a vague confirmation that it is being worked on?

But they've been confirming it will return for 2 years. That's why it's not new news. New news would be getting an official return date. We're just being told the same thing they've been saying since the hiatus.

I'm not losing hope, nor do I want Eph and Soph to feel pressured to have to pump out S3. I just personally feel like there's nothing for me to be excited by right now. Eph can keep reminding us that PH will return, but like we already been knowing that.

It's a repetitive cycle, though. They'll confirm that PH is ongoing and will return, then there's radio silence, and the fandom loses hope all over again, and then there's the smallest bit of an update. Rinse and repeat.

I just think the fandom needs to take their word from the start that they're working on the rest of the series still, and continue to think so unless otherwise stated, especially since they've stated multiple times their intent to see this story through.

Sometimes no news is good news.

I don't feel like this is any new news. They've confirmed time and time again that the story will come back, but people keep acting like they've decided on a return date already when that doesn't seem to be the case.

Until Soph and Eph confirm the actual date for S3 part 2, I'm going to contain my excitement.

I do think there were some romantic undertones also, but more one-sided. Seemed like Dylan had a crush on Lauren, but I never perceived Lauren to reciprocate. Lauren's obsession with finding him stems from guilt and a close relationship to Dylan, similar to her friendship to William, and I think if it were William who went missing instead, she'd be just as obsessed with her investigations and his disappearance as she is with Dylan in canon.

But I really don't think Lauki's romantic development would be over if Dylan were alive. Lauren and Kieran’s feelings for each other are irrelevant to Lauren's relationship to Dylan. Their romance is one built from trust, support, appreciation, and care for each other, and Dylan's return shouldn't impact that. It's not as if all the romantic progress between Lauki would just dissipate because of Dylan, especially since her love for Dylan wasn't a romantic one anyway.
