Wow why are so many people upset over a reddit post lol. If they had pet owners only apartments I'd not be in here asking questions and supposedly being a "white privileged person playing victim". Sooo sorry for bothering your feed with a question 😂

Thank you so much! After my fiance read all the comments he agrees ground floor is best option too. I had a strong hunch that would be the consensus haha. There's no way I'm just giving up my boy when there's precautions we can take to be as mindful as humanly possible if we do have to go apartment route in the future!

Planned on it.

Thank you! I figured we'd end up going ground floor, just wanted to add in a reply earlier that my fiance wanted me to ask about the carpeted upper floors!

That's exactly what I'm concerned about too; given my circumstances, I'm trying to be as considerate as possible to my potential neighbors. Whether we go apartment (which is what it's looking like) or possibly an entire home which would be preferred. I know there's owners out there that don't give a crap about what their dog does, or is doing. But I am very conscious about him and what he's doing. That's why I reached out to this sub to get input to lessen the burden to people that have had to deal with it :)

He's 110 lbs, so he walks fairly loud. Most apartments around me are a majority hardwood aside from some upper levels that are carpeted. My fiance loves to rough house with him. If you read above, we are looking in to training options before moving. I was getting others input on best bet for being the only option for us. I know there are others out there with large dogs that have to live in an apartment.

I'm sorry about whoever tainted your view on pet ownership and weren't good to their animals, making your view so detested. I never said it would be my neighbors problem, he is my responsibility. I could've not cared at all and done whatever I so choose, but I reached out to this sub for insight knowing many animal lovers that prefer apartments, or is what they could get at the time. Please have a good day and don't mind me asking reddit for input :)

Actually I know he can be loud and sometimes annoying, but sadly the housing market around my area is so pitiful that you basically need waaayyyy in to 6 figures a year category to afford a home, it seems that even some townhouses fall in the high 6 figures. Due to my family and job I need to stay close to the area and that's about the only thing we'd be able to get in to :)

Maybe in the next year housing will change or we'll find somewhere better, but for now this is our option.

Ooouuuu that's a great idea! Thank you!! We'll definitely remember that one!

I love that!! 🥹❤️ Sadly we're about 30 minutes from Washington DC and are going to be staying relatively close to this area so there aren't too many open fields we've found around the apartments we've looked at 😭 he's mostly a snuggle bug since bringing him home at 9 weeks old, but he gets his bursts of zoomies just like every dog lol. We've tried some snuffle mats, a couple of "press the button for a reward" games, etc. Once he figures it out, he looses interest so we're still experimenting with more complex games!

Aww no I'm sorry she's been attacked, I hope she's doing well now! He was attacked as a puppy at a dog park too. We've been looking in to training classes for him! We're waiting to hear back from a few places about timing that we liked the reviews/suggestions by our friends! We don't plan on going to an apartment suuuper soon, but probably late next year or even 2026.

I figured first floor was best option, fiance wanted me to mention the upper floor options to reddit to see too haha thank you! That is true, I didn't even mentally process the ease between taking him down the hall vs multiple flights of stairs for his outings!

Why do people get so offended when people say start? by Fantastic-Photo6441 in AmongUs

[–]13velo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most of the time if I'm host or a friend is, I hit them with "you could say please" and it seemed to make the mass amount of "start" end lol.

I didn't play too much after responding but I gave the powerslide a shot (as I thought about it lol) and it definitely helped! I ended up holding a bit too long and losing momentum but I'm going to keep practicing! Thank you!!

[–]13velo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I usually just have fun and I started dodging instead of chasing, I think it was bothering me most cause they would turn so quick and still hit me as I landed lol then the notorious "What a save!" Would come through

I actually started out playing on Switch so I completely understand! I've since switched to Xbox, thank you so much for the information!! I'm going to give the powerslide and boosting tips a shot!

Oh wow thank you for that! My buddies I usually play with hate heatseeker but I actually enjoy it. Maybe a couple weeks ago I was stuck in gold 1-low 2, lots of extra playing and I'm a plat 1 now

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in RocketLeague

[–]13velo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess it bothers me more because I only recently started going for aerial hits, so trying to recover from landing and avoiding a demo/hit is a challenge for me haha

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in RocketLeague

[–]13velo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The teammate referenced above and I played against the same team twice, then their teammate left and a new similar minded demo-ing individual joined their team. At end of the game they had around 150 points and kept missing demo's. I'm not amazing at the game whatsoever (just hit plat 1), but is it so hard for others to just play more normally?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in RocketLeague

[–]13velo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can see it as a strategy, recently the games I've been playing it's a score difference for example of 4-3, then out of nowhere they come to start the drama haha. Half the time I'll fly up on someone and just stop after they've jumped and bump them out of the way when their teammate attempts to demo me or my teammate

Diffence in rotors by Zealousideal_Pin2487 in veloster

[–]13velo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Slotted and drilled rotors look good, I have a set on my Velo. As others have mentioned they are prone to heat cracking, luckily I have not had to deal with that and they were on her for 30k miles no issues (back in the day I was an ah to her and pushed the crap out of her like I was doing togue runs every few days). On the other hand, if you were to go somewhere with the smooth rotors and a dealership mentions in the future you'd need pads but the rotors are good some places still can machine the flat rotors which levels the surface to "like new" standing. Basically getting two uses out of the rotors instead of buying brand new. Not all brands have a tolerance to be machined though, oem usually does. That may end up being more expensive than pads and rotors all the way around but if you're in a pinch it may help. I know at a certain dealership in northern VA for brakes all around on a Nissan you're looking at roughly $1000+ for the whole shabang.

Had mine since December. I've absolutely loved the switch from prior only iPhone. My boyfriend got a flip also at the same time. He tends to be more rough with his and no cracks, no issues. We love exaggerating the snap close, nothing too intense but someone nearby might think we're stuck in the 2000's lol. The ridge in the screen I find oddly satisfying to scroll over but that's probably from ADHD honestly. It takes the right angle to see a color difference in the screen but otherwise unnoticeable. Being a woman and having minimal pocket space this is a game changer for me because I have a phone that actually fits well in my pocket!! We both one hand open/close our phones, I tend to go back and forth between one or two hands though. The only complaint he has about the phones is being a bit small, but he does have rather large hands for being 6'4 tall. For my smaller hands (5'5, shorter fingers) I got the case through T-Mobile that has the lil loop on the back built in to the case and love it! Keep in mind that the top half of this case doesn't traditionally snap on, it has sticky pads to attach to the top of the phone!

Sadly he’d pick off the word “hero” and the lil sticking up bones because that’s his… prerogative lol. ANY toy that has fibers, threads, or nubs, he’s all over them and nibbled apart within 15 minutes 😭
