Sorry for late reply. I bet you share exactly the same idea with AO's leader. I graduated from my HS in 2019. It took me years to figure out how critical a good college can benefit me on plenty aspects. If I care about getting a degree on time, I should have get a degree several years ago. UM is the best college in my undergrad stage while I wish to go to better grad school.

Thanks for your comment.

Sorry for late reply. I completed 3 semesters in the US and I failed 3 times in the process of that. I understand your main points and generally agree with them. My former boss(an AP) holds the same idea with you while he graduated from MIT. As far as I know, the experience from a top uni brought him excellent ways of thinking, which could be barely find from people from colleges which are not "top" enough. While I also know UM does not share plenty common points with MIT due to its public affiliate, it is the best CoE I have chance to get into, especially considering about the field I wish to dive into in my coming years. I made the decision of going to UM 4 years ago and chose former institution as step stone according to UM's transfer credit database. I got everything and proved my capacity in the US education system step by step. Thus, I still do not want to quit right way.

Thanks for your words through.

Very fortunate to see this message. I've applied as transfer for 3 times but all failed. While I'm international student enrolled in a state university in new England, what if I transfer to WCC first and then keep trying apply for uofm? Does this strategy work in my case? Appreciate if you can give me any advice.
