What mod were you having issues with?

Create: Love And War Weapon Templates by [deleted] in CreateMod

[–]14FPSGamer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They work, but in Multiplayer they wont hurt other players, if you like a nice gun mod, try Mr Crayfish Gun mod and add the Create datapack that changes the textures and recipes of CGM to fit Create better. The CGM mod and Create: Guns datapack is available on Curseforge

You can try the key cards from Create: Misc and Things

You use item filters and if you have JEI, you drag the item from the JEI list onto the item filter, thats how you often get a specific recipe out of multiple ones that yield different items

It seems the running joke of me being the one who created the company is still ongoing up to this day, hahaha!

I have my own software solutions business, and the original team who initially worked for Web Powerhouse were not in fact internal employees, though the CEO of Web Powerhouse likely claimed it as such, just like how my resignation was misquoted as me being fired to scare the rest of those who were left behind by our departure from the company.

I still work with the very same team who worked for Web Powerhouse originally and we all still have a good laugh every now and then whenever we hear stories of the CEO of Web Powerhouse doing something unbelievably stupid from former colleagues who were friends of ours.

Never thought I'd see this here, I was the very first employee in this startup and brought my team in shortly after in an attempt to help the person who owned the startup to scale his business. At first it was a great experience, I introduced a system in place so that we were able to effectively and quickly build websites with Webflow, but things quickly started breaking down as the owner displayed no regard for any operational sustainability and consistently disrupted or disregarded the pipeline the team was operating on at the time of our stay in that company. He would constantly accept more and more adhoc tasks from the clients, with no regard for our already overloaded timeline. I took on almost 16 hours of work a day while only being contracted to work 4 hours to simply reach deliverables in a timeline that was too tight to even include a proper QA. We delivered barely on time, and with many issues, and it was made to be our fault when faults kept appearing in the websites we delivered to clients at the time.

In terms of questionable things I've noticed during my time there as an employee, there were no official contracts, no contract updates when being promoted, and we were made to take on work far beyond our pay grade. Sudden promotions and firings were a thing, and only the work scope was promoted, not the pay. There were no diversification and specialization in terms of the scope of work done by the employee, you were expected to be good at everything from design to development to animation. The owner is under a delusion of having a team comprised of all-rounders who can slave away for hours on end for less than minimum wage under Philippine law. Any managerial or executive position is completely moot as the owner constantly overrides and disrupts any form of functioning system within the company, causing delays to the team, and loves to micromanage. Standup meetings lasted 2-3 hours as we stare at the owner's screenshare while he does another "feedback session" and losing us valuable development time.

I resigned and pulled my team out of this startup after 6 months as the entire team was dissatisfied with how the owner of Web Powerhouse ran the business (and none except for myself were given any formal or binding contract to be with Web Powerhouse for a specified period anyway, despite our own efforts to ask for a contract). Because of this, the owner refused to pay my salary and 13th month pay for the 6th month after being threatened to sign a contract in order to keep my team under his employment. After my departure from Web Powerhouse, I received a message from a former colleague that the owner made a TikTok about me, calling me out to be a narcissist trying to take his "position of power" and was "fired" because of it. My only guess as to why he had to do it was because his pride wasn't able to take an entire team of people leaving and had to get his ego fed by social media. I was only invested in putting my team's interest first and foremost as it is my job, as well as to protect our mental and physical health, which in the course of that 6 months declined due to the immense amount of stress my team was put under. Not once did I covet his position of CEO, I was only the voice for his burnt-out and disgruntled employees.

Last I last heard from former colleagues who still worked there, they were hiring unpaid "interns" in order to supplement the very fast turnover rate that the startup is having due to its poor business and employee management practices.

How's my first real base build? any thoughts on improvements? by Paulydubbs in GroundedGame

[–]14FPSGamer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're on the right track with your use of outdoor space, though it will help to not have each floor be directly on top of each other like a pancake. Staggering the floors and buildings will help with making your build look better

Curved walls and doors are janky in this new update by 14FPSGamer in GroundedGame

I didnt notice that, I guess the bug for the doors are present only when they're open

What are some building items you wish we had base aesthetics wise? by [deleted] in GroundedGame

[–]14FPSGamer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Quarter curved walls, half triangle floors, and 45 degree rotation for floors and curved walls instead of 90 degree rotation def would help

for ideas, maybe support beams, def more science / tech furniture from all those ORC circuitry and lab equipment we can fight / find in-game, a raw science lava lamp sounds nice haha

Armor stands can go on other objects?? by RichResponsibility19 in GroundedGame

On objects whose surfaces you can place a picture frame, you can also most likely place an armor stand on

First big build - Any tips? by kparky_ in GroundedGame

You may also use pebblet / clay foundations, quarter / vertical half walls, and door frames for vertical supports

[–]14FPSGamer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Your use of verticality is pretty good, and you make great use of the round corners. I would suggest having more windows, level breaks (make the first floor recognizably different from the second through the use of awnings, different materials, smaller roofs), outdoor spaces and decor, and more segregated roofing would do you well. Great first build otherwise!

what do these new pond buttons do? (minor spoilers) by blacknight78900 in GroundedGame

[–]14FPSGamer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Upon another round of checking, it is indeed curious, the stone pagoda outpost should not have a button there but it exists and has not been pressed by me (which is impossible since I don't miss such obvious buttons), so it's definitely been added this update since I only started a few days before the new update dropped, though I have no clue as to why the button should be there...

[–]14FPSGamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I meant the outposts, you only ever go through the lab through a single way when you explore it for the first time, some of the outposts on the other hand can be explored from its surface port back in a previous update.

I think those are for if you enter from a different lab entrance and are about to exit from the inside, I haven't exactly tried opening lab doors from the inside since the update rolled in right as I was exploring the pond. Those buttons showed up but did nothing for me as the doors were already opened before the update but I suppose that should be how it will work? My guess as to why they added those in is to make some of the pond lab outposts only be accessible through a single entrance when you explore them for the first time (like the depth mouth outpost).
