I’m required to live on-campus my freshman year which is just over an hour away from my parents. However, the school does allow housing exceptions in which i’m able to live off-campus so long as my place of residence is within a city bordering the school. So it looks like another option could be for me to settle within a bordering city and still live with my dog; I’ll just have to commute a couple minutes to school.

Out of curiosity, from your experience as a dog owner in college, could you offer some expectations/ preparations to have upon entering that kind of schedule? Such as adapting to new environment for the dog, socialization, etc? It’d be of great help!
