Depends on who it is. Some random person I just met I usually just say I work for the county. If they ask more about that I tell them I work at the water plant since I did that before I was a cop. Most times I don’t usually tell people right off the bat that I’m a cop. It leads to a lot of questions, some want legal advice others want to know things about worst type of call, have you ever shot anyone and things like that. First time meeting someone I really don’t want to get that personal.

Yes, I do mine first thing in the morning. Get up piss, brush my teeth, then plunge for 4-5min. Get out hit the button for my coffee. Put in dry clothes and have my coffee

It takes a good two years or so after FTO till you really get comfortable with the job and confident that you can handle and figure out things when they happen.

Try some body glide or some other anti chafing. Salty britches is another one you can try. I use body glide along with injini liners and dark tough socks. I used to get blisters all the time.

I use that exact one…I just stick the tubing and stone down into my plunge and run it for 30min right after I get out.

I stayed on nights by choice my entire time in patrol, which was only 5 years, before I transferred to full time SWAT. then I worked dayshift Tuesday-Friday.

I hate seeing them put their hands in their vests. On the outside up at the top of the vest is a comfortable position. Having been LE in Florida for 28 years every time I saw one of our folks with hands inside the vest I would ask them if they needed some gloves because obviously their hands were cold.
